Kind of an open question but what is required for you to do to be a Canadian Citizen?

I would put down that after high school serve a 2-3 year stint in the CAF.

Anything else?

After decades of neglect and inbreeding (for lack of a better word) the CAF is barely functional with the personnel they have. They could not deal with the mass intake of a bunch of immature influencer-wannabes.

But that should be a different thread.

As for what is required for you to do to be a Canadian citizen?

Choose kindness.

It takes the same amount of energy to be kind as it does to be an asshole but you get better results.

Kindness doesn't imply weakness, but it does require maturity.

So, be kind, thoughtful, considerate, willing to help, and when necessary, throat punch some douche who is abusing animals or people.

And fascists, always throat punch fascists just on principle.

Have a nice day, eh!

(Except fascists ... fuck them fuckers).

Just out of curiosity;
Why specifically the Air Force?

Thanks
For some reason to me CAF has always stood for Canadian Air Force. Lol
What do they call the air force?
You can tell I'm no military guy.
I do like military aircraft however.

These are all very good!

I would say overall societal stewardship.

Additionally, we are a secular State...I being a first generation Canuck wants this to firmly remain the case.

Do not contribute to the further errosion of public Healthcare & social safety net.

This is a bit more obscure, but say a hard no to indentured house servitude (the bulk number behind human trafficking in the west). This one is big for me, I remember learning about SWAN here in Vancouver & it's a big issue Abolitionists, The Blue & SWERFS like to side step.

As to CAF (NOT the review board, but our military branches🙄) Yes, I agree that it along with the RCMP need complete overhaul with policy. That needs massive Federal investment. The Liberal party has not prioritized enforcement & defense in longer then I've mostly been alive for.

Post secondary education must be more attainable for the Canadian people, not just for profit driven. The more educated a population, better long term health outcome is observed. That's fact.

I'm discussing more macro issues, that Canada as a whole should uphold tbh. I hope this thread continues.

I'm a 1.5 generation immigrant. To be a responsible Canadian is to...

1) Be nice

2) Be forgiving

3) Retaliate hard when others do harm, but always remember rule 2.

4) Don't leave a mess.

5) The Geese has the right of way.

We live by the rules of Ice Hockey.

Here is what I believe we should be doing as Canadians.

1- Be respectful and courteous.
2- Invest in our next generation. Volunteer whatever skills you can offer and help them grow.
3- Hold people in power accountable by asking right questions.
4- Think long term on how we can make Canada resilient and build a diversified economy.

Lastly, because this thread is on Perb, treat service providers with respect and dignity!!
