Can't pick just one!

Can't pick just one, let alone two or three.

"Shawshank Redemption".

also :

"The Mask", with Jim Carey.
I hear Clint is filming the latent sequel to the above mentioned fave,
"Three Mules for Mistress Frejya"

Among the most intense, on original viewing:

"Alien", & the original "Die Hard"

"Titanic" was, and remains outstanding.

"The Great Escape"
"Wizard of Oz"
"Fiddler on the Roof"

(There are several other movie threads already in these pages)

Shirley! - Dammit! - Shirley!
Why do I always have to correct you?
love the hooker playing a nun routine!!
Really?
How about a hooker playin a science experiment?

You should hook up with Cara she has a great movie called;
Frankenhooker!

"WEEZAAAAAAAA"
Next you'll be trying ta sell us on Fried Green Tomatoes!

Cassablanca, God Father, Rocky
Neverunderstood the hoopla over Citizen Kane
Citizen Cane is the BOMB!!!
It blazed the way for movies as we know them today!

Director, writer & star Orson Welles showed Hollywood how it's done!

How can you witness all that talent & not be impressed?

CK is a thinking mans movie because the meanings are deep & soulful.

Superb acting, superb screenwriting, superb screenplay, superb cinematography!
Best Writing Oscar & 8 other nominations

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033467/awards

I have a few, but Leaving Las Vegas comes to mind
Cage & Shue really did a fine job in that movie!
Excellent writing & directing.

In no particulat order:
Godfather 1 & 2, Raging Bull, Good Fellas, Casablanca, Clockwork Orange, Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
I'd say you're bull on Bogie!

Sierra Madre is excellent on many levels & Walter Huston earned that Oscar!
Huston was actually director John Huston's father!
Another thing, he is a Canadian from Toronto.

The Godfather; Patton (George C. Scott)
Patton is in my 'Hall of Fame' section in my movie collection.
Despite it being a propaganda film sanctioned by the US government to promote the US military & instill patriotism in the American people who were at an all time low due to Vietnam, I think this film deserved every one of it's 7 Oscars.
North & Coppola are geniuses at writing.

Also see The Conversation written by Coppola & excellently acted by Gene Hackman.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest-
Jack Nicholson (1975)
I think one of Nicholson's finest along with China Town the year before. (not to be missed if you love film noir)

Also check out Prizzi's Honor & Terms of Endearment.

The Shining
Being a Horror fanatic, this is one of my all time fav movies.
