I experienced this first hand, don't want to throw shade at the group or provider. Then I read some reviews and it sounds commonplace in van. Buzzer not working. Where someone comes down to pick you up a man or the provider. Common with all the residents in the building no one fixes buzzer. One pooner wrote the provider can down and hugged in under the cctv. Never been in van before so is this common practice. Kind of creepy having a man pick you up and sit in the living room while your pooning away. I know providers need protection but is it that dangerous in van for providers. Im used to going into a parlor and picking providers out a line up or buzzed up to the room. Only in van a few more days so not a big deal just curious.

I prefer to be buzzed up unless another plan was discussed in advance. It's not common to break discretion by meeting in public in Vancouver or have some man around at all but good call on mentioning the buzzer problems I feel it's happening a lot recently and last minute, and wonder why.

Buzzers rarely break. When they "break" in the context of pooning it's either because the buzzer hasn't been programmed to go to the provider or handler's phone. Only the building manager can program it. Or, it's for security or screening purposes - their way of making sure you check out and ain't a thug/someone the provider may know.

Buzzers sometimes break. I recall going to one building where by the front door buzzer there was a big sign taped to it that says: "Our apologies, but the intercom is currently not working. All visitors please call the resident and have them let you in."

And that a sign from the strata/buidling management, not just the agency running the suite.

Shitty access always frustrates me. Unless there are alternate instructions - I hate fumbling around a doorway when there are people around. I am all for the safety aspect, but maybe that can be mentioned when giving directions.

This is how building managers evict a working girl, without actually evicting them. The buzzer is the first thing to go.

..shit happens. While I was on tour in Calgary, I had a client encounter difficulties with the buzzer because he COULD NOT grasp the "Please wait until the computer voice says PLEASE ENTER: don't pull on the door handles!" instructions. On my way down to the lobby (in my little black dress & my heels!!) I got stuck in the building's only working elevator, along with a dozen or so other residents of the building. After 10 minutes or so the doors open & we all decided to hoof it down the stairs...I was profoundly grateful the apartment was on the fourth floor, not the 30th...
