What is Happening here!!!!!

I am concerned about what is happening here!!!!

I have been thinking over the last little bit about some things going on here on PERB and I will be the first to admit that I do not know all that is going on behind the scenes. If I did it might change my opinoin, but then I don't know. Never the less, I do want to express my opinion, and I think that is what PERB is all about.

Recently, one sp’s stated that she would be retiring in the near future and as a thank you to her client’s both past and future she would be offering a promotion in a restricted geographic area for a restricted period of time. I now hear it has been cancelled:

Due to the nasty emails I have received from some sp's and other contributors the Bobbi Bonanza has been cancelled......

All I was trying to do was say thank you before I retire from the biz in June and have some fun while doing it but as it turns out hospitality is not accepted very widely in the business........

Sorry to disappoint my clientele and future new ones but I would rather have a smile on my face when I go into work rather than deal with others with frowns......

What concerns me is not that it has been cancelled, I am going to see her, but outside of the area so I would not qualify anyway. But rather the fact that it seems that people are taking exception to someone doing something their own way. It’s like everything has to be done the same way by everyone, that is not life.

I have not seen or heard of concerns when other sp’s offer specials for anniversary’s or when someone offers a discount to help charities, so why in this case? I wonder what is behind this

I think I see the same type of behavior of do it our way, when comments are made about how this or that person writes a review, each of us does things in their own way so let them do it.

This board is, is my opinion and your opinion and your opinion, etc etc. So let us express our opinoins and let them be heard.

Well this is my opinion for the moment and I can say that I am sad that Bobbi was subject to the nasty e-mails and decided to change her plans based on other people’s wishes.

I really would like to know what others think about this and you know I want to see it in the light of day so post it here.

Under the heading of "Way Too Cheap"...

one local Victoria sp made this comment,

wow you should think of raising them since Victoria already has The cheapest sp in the country. Oh sh*t it just got cheaper!

Whether or not it was meant as humour is irrelevant... it is the prevailing feeling among many of the women.

And they dumped on, harrassed and otherwise hurled abuse at Bobbi via email and pm's.

That's what's happening.

You know it is funny when you try to do something fun in this business, you always get critisized in one way or another. When you put on contests you will always get disturbing mail from anyone who does not agree with you, or anyone who wants something to bitch about. This happens everywhere, not only here. Everyone has their own opinions, like I said it is "their" opinion. If they want to voice it in a nasty mail, well hey that is their choice. Ignore it! Plain and simple. Delete the mail, don't listen to the messages....etc. The only reason they are sending and doing this is because they are jealous, or pissed off at themselves because they can't or refuse to thank the people who have put the $$$ in their wallet, or the food on their table. These people don't have the means of knowing what appreciation is. They can't appreciate anything. Imagine waking up every morning and being that angry with/at the world. They want everyone around them to be the same........... If we did things that only made others happy, we would all live in the same world as they do. Screw That!

Do what you choose to do, if you want to put on a contest, or an appreciation day or month, then do. Don't do it because you have gotten nasty mail or messages.

There goes another great gal from this town! **sigh** Well whoever sent those e-mails to such a classy and well-known lady is obviously just some loser who needs to validate his/her own ego by hacking down other people and their ideas.
