Average SPs should rate 5-6 (after all, that is the average), and this is roughly where most should be rated if the rating is in any way objective. Less than average would be 4 or less, above average 7 or more. Very few of the ladies should be either a 10 or a 0.
But, if you look at reviews, most are rated above average, and even the terrible girls are rated average at worst. So, basically, those ratings are useless. No one wants to be a 5/6, and no one wants to say that their favorite girl is a 5/6 (although they have significantly less trouble saying their least favorite ones are that).
The only thing of value in a review is the impression of the experience (for example, did Bubba jump out the closet with a baseball bat and demand all your money?).
And of course, how much you trust that impression, since you have reviewers like Tant who wear rose-colored goggles

There's also geographical biases. A Vancouver 10 is usually an L.A. 7 or a Montreal 8. Those who've travelled will know this to be true.
Quantifiable ratings are BS. A group of women each w/ a 36C bra size will have differently shaped breasts. Are we then going to sub-divide perky ones from sagging ones, small nipples from large areola?

I totally agree with this post Reed. I have always said give me a solid 6 or 7 with a great attitude and amazing service over a (real) 9 or 10 with crappy service and lousy attitude any day. There used to be a SP on this forum who looked amazing ie definite model material but had a poor service record and a less than stellar attitude which included stopping the session at the 40 minute mark if you came which meant no MSOG (even though she advertised as such).
Numbering is just such a silly rating system.
It we were to do a rating system, I never got to see her (heard she retired?), but I always thought Sexy Melina had a 10 body.

The problem with Vanessa's example is that a "10" is what EVERY member of a group of 100 men will look at as sexually desirable. Vanessa's "10" falls short of the mark, she's maybe an "8" (80 men in a group of 100 will look at as sexually desirable) People often mistake a person that THEY will bed as a "10", when most people will bed a person that is slightly less, equally or more sexually desirable.
It works the same with a group of 100 women, all 100 would bed George Clooney - - -60 or 70 would bed Michael Moore vs 10 (maybe) who would bed Jonah Hill.
I think that it's probably kind of lonely being a "10". You have no potential of bedding someone more attractive than yourself. Fortunately, I'm a "4" or on a good day a "6", so there's no shortage of women that I will bed.
