What's the most important thing you've gained from pooning?

Sexual release, escape from reality, new experiences, the thrill of indulging taboos, being with different people than the one you're usually with.

What's the most valuable lesson one (or many) SPs have taught you?

"Expectations v. Reality" is something we all (Client and/or SP) suffer from.

Women like sex too. It's a date and a big adventure every time. Show up with an idea of what I want to create, and make that happen. Don't let anyone rush me through it. Enjoy the women and savor the experience. Make it good for all. Don't get carried away, and keep it all in perspective.

Many thanks to clementinexoxo for starting this thread. It is a needed education for people starting out in this hobby.
One of the first things that was clear to me was that the porn industry has been selling dominance and disrespect rather than the mutual respect and caring for others that even casual relationships require.

Back when I started into the hobby, I was desperate for info on how to approach SPs so that we both had a good time. My life philosophy of being as nice as possible in virtually every contact with others seemed to work well and I never felt that my visits were a mercenary transaction alone. So as someone posted - always be nice. Hopefully that advice and other ideas on this thread will help guide new participants in how to be respectful and have fun.

Especially when they try to insert themselves amongst us with sticky-sweet platitudes and over the top goodwill- when in reality it is more deviously disguised and cunning mal-intent, typically self-justified as so-called 'innocent, good natured shit disturbing' when their names get called.
With a little experience it's usually not too hard to pick 'em out.

Most sp’s are kind, genuine people that have lives apart from working. I find most sp’s generally have a good intuition and they reciprocate if you treat them with respect . It’s really enjoyable experience when sp and client have good chemistry . That’s what I look for and have found some wonderful ladies...

* I've learned how to read an ad, to get a feel for the SP. Trust my instincts now.
* We're all real people, doing what it takes to get through life.
* some people who hate their job are still really good at it.
* some people who love their job are really crap at it.
* trust, but verify.
* I have to maintain a veneer of hardness, or my soft side will consume me.
* 'you get what you pay for' just makes me feel better when I've had a great experience with an expensive provider. I've had great experiences with inexpensive providers, and shitty experiences with expensive providers. In general, it rings true through.

The list goes on. Of course, these are generally life lessons and could probably have been learned elsewhere.

True there are some really decent honest girls working in this business. I've met some cool SP's that were fun to spend time with.

I know I am new on PERB but I have been very active in another Canadian Adult online Community for the past 10+ years. I can say I have learned a ton.

RESPECT I would have to say is the number one key to a successful encounter. Respect the Rules, Respect the Ladies and Respect each other.

I have always been a guy who enjoys the company of just one lady as a regular. If you exercise respect from the onset. There tends to be less speed bumps and in some cases alot less road blocks along the way.

The second most important thing I have learned is self confidence. I was such a Vanilla till I reached my 30s. I lacked certain self confidence with ladies as a whole. Be it in the grocery store, the mall or the pub. They were the enemy. Being of Average size Average looks and an Average build. Regular practice and exploration of boundary with a regular lady with at times her advice. I was able to learn how to please a woman sexually.

All told I haven't had too many poor experiences. I always relied on the experiences of others here before I would venture a first meet with a lady. I would do exhaustive research on a lady so I had certain assurances going in it wasnt a trap and that my needs and desires were in the same ball park of what she might be offering.

These online communities are a god send for the paranoid. You never know what your walking into with a Backpage or a Leolist Ad. Since moving to the Island recently. I have made some very informed decisions on my new environment and chatted up both Male and Female members from the board. Im a little disappointed in how slow the Island section is, but. We will work on building a vibrant community over the weeks ahead Once work slows down I will introduce you to my review style
