It's also rude to insult all the men in Victoria...and she seems to imply that se gets a deposit up front? No chance! Vancouver would be a better fit for her! (or further east)
I’ve worked in quite a few big cities and nothing compares to the relaxed energy of the island , Victoria has always been tough as there’s so many great Indy & agency ladies to choose from . There’s so many “behind the scenes things “that affect our ability to work .
This pandemic is definitely something none of us have ever planned for .
Nothing in this business is a sure thing .. some ladies on here have offered “deals “ & discounts & 15 min sessions for cheap , then wonder why they can’t switch over to the big bucks again . I’ve watched so many ladies start here and end up in Vancouver or Alberta cause they just can’t pull off the hourly rate they want. But they always come back and then frustrated when they can’t make bookings . Especially those who are travelling around during a pandemic, that tells me a lot about someone’s character . Greed . Plain ‘ simple .
On a personal level , I get bullied a lot by so many Indy woman in this city because I’ve alwats kept my rates the same . I’ve raised my hourly rate by $20 in my whole whoring career , why ? Because I have done very well , I live within my means . I adore my long time clients . I know I already take a chunk out of all my regulars paycheck , ( like a wife but if she was a sex Goddess for you 🤓)
What I get in return (as well as money ) the friendship, the advice, amazing sex 💦💦💋) meeting gentlemen I probably would never meet as I’m a home person, with dogs & kinda shy in real life .
I learned very early in life how much I loved my city , for better & for worse I have some extremely amazing men who don’t barter , who spoil me rotten & I never have to leave the island , next month will be 14 years in this business & I promise you it changes all the time . Treat your local ladies right gentlemen ❤

In reality, how much does a good house cost in Victoria? Would about $1,000,000 do it?
If so is that really out of line with many other places around BC. BC is an expensive place to live, so much cheaper if headed east, but not everyone chooses that lifestyle, they love BC, so stay and pay.

Even though Victoria is a smaller market (from both SP and client perspective), does the higher proportion of mature population and relative racial homogeneity of Victoria (compared to other places) reflect the dealings from the SP perspective? Just curious.

This is a fascinating discussion. I find it troubling that women are having to deal with this kind of harassment in the city. It extremely retrograde, and I really can't understand the mindset of people making these kinds of demands, haggling, etc.
Personally, I'm not exactly "rich", and I came into the hobby with an understanding it would probably be expensive, and further, that the service would be better/more enjoyable if I treated SP's like I treat other people (empathy, compassion, etc.).
I can't see "economic anxiety" flipping that switch for me. Frankly, Internet porn has been free to a large degree for decades, and if I had a real squeeze, that's where I'd stick, not turning into an asshole.

I just like to counter some of your theories. I am not trying to be confrontational. It looks like we Victoria men need a lot of improvement since we are compared to Winnipeg men. I have lived there for a few months and the men are not pretty.
1. Not sure if this is a thing, but who knows.
2. Yes there are lots of hot, beautiful and really nice women here. I have lived in many cities and I find people in general are the nicest here. I read months ago that there are more dating age men than dating age women in Victoria so the women have the upper hand in the dating market. I have also read that a 7s or 8s male is considered average looking by women standards so us 5s and 6s have no chance here. I think you have it backwards that 5/6 men are dating 8s and up women. It is actually 8s and up men are dating 6s and up women, this makes sense since 8 is considered average for men and 6 is average for women so it is just average dating average.
3. Life in Victoria and Canada is pretty great compared to rest of the world. We have it pretty great here in Victoria because we have the best weather and natural beauty and the people are great and lots of well paying jobs available if you want one. If you are not happy here, I don't think you can be happy anywhere. There are assholes here too same as anywhere else. It only takes one to make your day shitty.
4. I guess I consider myself an incel. I didn't volunteer to be. I don't know why incels would hate escorts since that is the only way we get laid. Incels should be grateful they have the opportunity to be with so many beautiful women. It is not all bad being an incel. We have a lot of time to make money rather than spending money dating. It is actually not that bad saving a few thousand dollars a month and have a house mortgage free. It is pretty amazing how much you can save being single. Maybe some of your best clients are incels.
5. Drugs and mental health is a big problem for sure. Maybe they have too much free time so they play phone games with escorts.

Number 5 seems to be everywhere now, and reason 1399 why I moved way out into the country side a couple years ago, so peaceful, calm, and quiet. No drug addicts around here, and just live in my little slice of paradise.

Interesting thread. I first saw Electra what seems like an eternity ago and always appreciate her perspective on the experience of providers and the evolution of the industry in Victoria. From my perspective she has been a jewel in the Victoria scene.
Perb has had a significant impact by allowing for the sharing of information that recognizes and supports the efforts of superior providers while exposing scams and less effective providers. My impression of the changes over time are more positive than some others in this thread as I have observed a shift to a more GFE environment compared to the vanilla encounters offered prior to sites like Perb and professional agencies like SVIP.

I somewhat agree with this, I'm certainly happy for communities like PERB to exist (I'm old enough to remember the days before review boards), but at the same time I view the Victoria scene to be more cyclical than I think you seem to. There's been high points and less high points, and to be honest I'd say we're currently in the midst of one of the less high points, but perhaps that's just my perspective (and circling back to the original start of this thread, perhaps that's informed as much by the current global climate than anything about Victoria per-se). There are certainly some absolutely amazing SPs in Victoria right now, among the best I've ever seen, but you look at the typical listing on Leolist and you can't help but feel like something has changed for the worse.
Ive heard the girls in Victoria are brutal with each other. I even had a provider explain that she thinks most of the harassment and WOT guys are actually other providers. I don't know if its true but it makes sense. I hear there's a core group in Vic that try to destroy new girls.

I have formed some very pleasant connections and I would say friendships.
It is unfortunate that there are men out there that have no idea what you Ladies put up with on a day to day basis.
I have learnt so much from the Ladies I have spent time with and the one common factor is.... treat the Ladies with respect and they in turn will treat you the same.
