When I went to school, a prevailing thought at the time was that Canada had free thinkers unlike what they had in Russia, where they had no freedom of expression for political ideology/criticism of government.

The misuse of technology has long been a subject of science fiction writing. Books we read in high school (1984 and Lord of the Flies), is that where governments are going? Totalitarianism and segregated/cast system for societies?
