What do you make of the steel monolith in Utah?

Two state employees out counting mountain goats via helicopter found this steel monolith firmly installed in the way back beyond country of Utah.



It is like a modern day Stonehenge or a tribute to planet of the Apes or 2001 Space Odessey. Or someone just wants to f**k with our brains trying to figure it out.

Is it just me......or can I make out a vague Maytag stamp on the front of that thing?
I guess if an artist wanted to screw with us....why wouldn’t they recycle from the dump, and not pay retail for stainless.
Ive also been inspired to go plant some of my 8 foot galvanized stock waterers on end ,up in the mountains.....I think I’ll create a Cariboo Stonehenge.
