What do you feel is a fair price to see a SP?

As Traveller says, let's consider the time/effort/cost for an SP...well a lot is genetic,right? Most drop-dead gorgeous girls don't get that way by going to university. How hard is it to figure out how to screw someone? Also, most of the things that SP's consider expenses are things that almost any professional or business woman would pay, like hair and cosmetics, gym fees, cell phones, daycare , car expenses, but how many SP's declare their income and pay tax on it, or incorporate themselves and pay a license fee?
Against this consider that an SP career may be very short: who wants a date with an old burnout? The business seems to be very hard on some workers, we all know ladies who start off great but are wacko after a few years... one of my all time faves started freebasing, went from a perfect 10 to a 6 and lost her mind to boot. Girls have to get what they can while they sre still marketable. Not many seem to have a long term business plan.

Oops didn't notice there were two pages in this thread. Reading these posts makes me think this is almost an unanswerable question, we have the variable of the SP: is she someone you know to be beautiful, talented, and eager to please, or is she an unknown on a corner? The former is worth a lot, the latter is a crap shoot. How much are you willing to risk?
The client is a variable also: what is his appetite, does he have to have a nooner every Tuesday or does he see someone once a month? Is he trying to pay a mortgage, alimony and put a kid through med school, or is he an affluent businessman that looks at a $250 romp the way others would look at a trip to Subway, no big deal?

Very well put Chingada. SPs charge what they charge because they can and it has nothing to do with time and investement they put in the business. Incomes of actors/models/pro atheletes aren't proportional to the time/effort/cost they've put in either. If you don't pay their rates someone else will. I've had a client once tell me if I charged less he'll see me more often and that will equal more net income for me. It isn't true but that's what many men believe. If he didn't see me, that time slot would be taken by someone else who would paid more. If I lowered my rate for one person I'll have to do it for everyone which means my net income would actually decrease.

I don't understand it at all when a man makes a big deal about a lady's rates and go on and on about how he won't see her because her rates are too high. The hard cold truth is she doesn't care. Ladies know higher rates mean being cutting out a chunk of the pool of potential clients and thats why they raised them in the first place.

I know SPs rates are high but its the market. Like everyone says its supply and demand. If the SP charges too much just see someone else. Why waste time and make a big deal of it?

Charge whatever you like. Everyone has something unique to offer. There are always going to be SPs who charge less and SPs who charge more than you. If offering a lower price than the norm works for you, go for it. I would pick one rate and stick with it.

Yes, I completely missed the most basic principle of economics, supply and demand. Where they intersect, that's the going price.

I guess my frustration comes from wanting to see SPs three times a week, but the high market price pushes me to only do it a few times a year.

If it costs $25 for a meal in my favorite restaurant, I will go all the time. If the market price jumps to $250, I'd only go on a few special occasions and do a lot more cooking for myself.

I wish I could "re-shape" those SP supply and demand curves and where they intersect. Then I could enjoy SPs a lot more often instead of cooking for myself, if you know what I mean.

One aspect of being a sp that doesn't seem to be addressed often is the lying and secrecy, also difficulty in finding a mate.
Few guys are willing to share and the ones who are often aren't worth the time. It used to tear me up inside everytime I had to lie to my mom brother friends even complete strangers -you know how many people think polite conversation is asking about your job? Ask your moma what she thinks of escorts/prostitutes and imagine how it would feel if that were you.

different sps all over the world charge different prices.i am happy with charging 250 as an independent sp advertising on the intenet.but when i use to work on hitrack i use to charge between three and five browns for the same service.when i worked at lmerage i charged two browns.when i worked on sunset blvd(los angeles) i use to to charge two browns usd.
what im tryin to say is you ive always charged accordingly to the the mp,track,internet prices.its always worked for me

ive noticed in vancouver most sps charge between 150-300.i am happy with charging what i charge. if i charged less i think i wouldnt be able to supply the demand i would just get to burnt out

Mr. Grendleaxe: I don't know if the world owes anyone anything, but it probably doesn't owe anyone equal-opportunity access to SP's. I hope you don't think that was my inference, I just wanted to point out that people have different levels of financial resources available to them, regardless of whether or not it's fair. The size of a guy's bankroll is obviously going to influence his opinion of what is expensive. Twenty five years ago I had to save up for a $100 date, it was my maximum. But not long ago I was able to do a porn star for $1k in Nevada. My circumstances have changed, and so has my idea of what is affordable.

I agree, price has very little to do with getting good service. Some SP's charging higher prices are arrogant, obnoxious and think they are doing you a favor. There is only so much that can be expected from a pay for sex arrangement. It reaches a point of diminishing returns.

One of my best experiences was with an SP that was new, had No ad's or website. We met in the hotel lounge, she was sitting at the bar alone, I joined her and eventually we agreed to go to my room to show her a piece of art I had purchased. Not sure I agree with your 50 or 500 for same service but I will say that for 500, it better be near a life altering experience and include a souvenir like a commemorative medallion, DVD and concert tickets. For 50, I will take just getting off.
