It seems to me when reading a lot of reviews on here, the acronym BBW (Big Beautiful Women) gets thrown around a lot. When describing a woman's physique, everyone has their own opinion of what that body type is, yet BBW is still unclear to me. I wanted to start this poll to get people's opinions and comments onto what they think BBW should be defined as on PERB and why (in a respectful way please).

I understand BBW to be wonderful women who are uber-comfy in a larger, fatter body and that the need for these specific letters-as-words is to proudly assign oneself a label that denotes an equality with the rest of everyone else that is held with an unquestionable high regard simply because they are of a 'proper, acceptable' size 0 - 5/6.

I've always thought the term BBW in the context to a lot of reviews on PERB meant 'overweight'.
probably not the same thing?

hard to describe but I would put Kristie Alley in the BBW category.
but knowing this board, someone else will disagree.

maybe the acronym should be BW - Big Woman?
after all, the 'Beautiful' bit is subjective isn't it?

or for generalization; FW - Fat Woman - for the politically incorrect crowd. ; )

You say tomato, I say tomatoe! It`s like comparing apples to oranges, opinions vary, and so do body sizes. One isn`t better then the other either.
I agree with you on that Angela - and you`re right, one isn`t better than the other. What I am trying to get at with this thread is that when reading a review on a SP, the posters go back and forth on what `is` and what `is not` BBW. Does it necessarily matter? Not really, however when having an idea of what SP to see that suits your taste in women, it is not clearly defined for me.

For example: https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?199818-Vanity-6900-not-what-I-expected

I don't get it; all 3 options given mean the same thing.

I think you are trying to hard to be politically correct....

Because we wouldn't want to upset the over weight ladies :)

Not necessarily. I don't think they all mean the same thing. Not trying to be politically correct, but am not trying to attack any type of person either. Just trying to figure out what people think of those as definitions.

Quite honestly, it comes down to seeing a photo of a SP with a healthy figure and someone says "She's BBW." Does that mean in that photo, or has she gained weight since the photo was taken.

I consider a BBW any woman overweight, but still has good sex appeal. It is overused in our society for sure these days.
I just don't like the term in general. I like a variety of sized women, that is one reason I poon I suppose. Some days you feel like a 100 pounds Chinese girl, some days you feel like a fat bummed blonde.
I like terms like bombshell or hourglass, for attractive larger women. BBW makes me think of the 50 year old secretary with too much makeup, but thinks she is beautiful, cause its whats inside that counts type crap.

It is that exact acronym that prevented me from even reading certain ads. Although I now regularly see a BBW. There needs to be other descriptive words that feed someones curiosity. BBW is a blanket expression .

What VC said. If there are rolls, a gut/gunt, I will pass. Quite frankly I am surprised there is a market for obese providers, but I guess different strokes for different folks.

You know, it's comments like these (as mild as they might be) that the term BBW was invented ... to empower women against hurtful comments made to shame a person.

These comments may be mild in comparison to "fat cow", "where's the hole?", "who could love a fat chick?" and the bunches more that some brilliant minds have set in motion, but they are the start of what only takes a word to start ... almost like an invitation to fling. And "different strokes for different folks" is now only used as an excuse to be judgemental towards others' strokes, same as "not to offend anyone, but ..."

But just like assholes, everyone's got an opinion. :thumb:

Woah, woah, woah. I didn't mean any offence, when I said that I am surprised there is a market for it, I meant that given the ease in which one could source and pick up an obese woman I am surprised that there are as many providers as there are.

Judging by the responses, It sounds as though some of you larger women have some body image issues you should resolve.
Unreal but then again from your posting history of late this is normal for you. Pretty insensitive comments but I guess that is just your manliness coming out again.
