What did guy's do before the internet?

I can't help but notice the first thing a lot guy's do on this board when a new Lady comes on is ask for pictures, It is the same in the chat rooms "any pics web site?"

What has happened to the thrill of the unknown or the excitement in some real flirting when the Lady can see us face to face?

I know I am not the only one on the board who remembers the day's when the only contact we could make was word of mouth or slipping a bartender some cash (and we took our chances sometimes we won some times we lost!)

I am not saying that pictures and reveiws are not helpfull, but the same old responses of "without a picture or I'll wait till she has been reviewed" are not signs of serious Pooners.

Out of the 18,000 or so members on here how many go out and find out for themselves? Very few it seems, and even at that if a new member brings a Lady to the attention of the board there is more often than not hell to pay!

It seems the ladies all have get their pictures up and answer endless questions all just to keep some happy!!

The board is a great tool, but it is not the only way to meet Ladies, and it is really very new to the scene.

A bit of a rant here I know but it will be my only one for the year ( I hope)

...about what happened to Henry 8th. Thomas Cromwell suggested he marry a girl named Ann of Cleves, so Henry sent his court artist, Hans Holbein, to paint her portrait and bring it back so he could see if she was a potential match. Henry really liked her pic so he was betrothed to her. BUT on the day she arrived, he was totally revolted by her looks and apparently she had a bad smell. He went ahead and married her but they never had sex (he couldn't get it up with her) and the marriage was annulled. Not surprisingly, Holbein fell out of favour with the king. henry declared Ann his honorary sister and she lived in comfortably for the rest of her life (considering what happened to his other wives, she was pretty lucky). So, if you think you've been deceived by a false pic, you're not the first and won't be the last.

I learned the difference between plurals and possessives back in grade 3, maybe even grade 2. English was not even my first language. one thing to note here is that i know from personal experience that i have toftt for many years before this board came about. i would scan the b&s only to find out they had lied, or just not for me. now im sure alot of sp's feel the same way about us pooners, but they are accepting new customers, so they follow through. i have only been using a computer for about four years or so. all i can say, thank god its here. i have not wasted near as much money or time. i agree that the thrill of the chase can be alot more fun and exciting than looking on here, finding what suits you and your off. i thoroughly enjoy the chase, probably more so than just finding a sp that i think i will like and going to see her. sometimes time doesnt permit it thou, and also, sometimes you dont want the hassle of finding out that she doesnt like giving or recieving oral for example. i guess i just feel that it can work both ways. im glad its here thou, great research tool. good luck to all which ever way you find your happiness. happy pooning

Before the internet there was the Georgia Straight (is it still around?) It have reviews of massage parlors and lots of good info on where to find the ladies. This was back in the 70's by the way. We also read alot of Penthouse letters.
