I LOVE Barbara Kingsolver, & this is one of her best! The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara kingsolver. Story about a missionary family who move to a small isolated village in the Belgian Congo in 1959 just before the Congolese begin their battle for independence from Belgium. Thus far the book is told from the viewpoint of the 4 daughters in the missionary family and its really fascinating.
I LOVED Born a Crime! I have just finished a Stephen King trilogy that I really enjoyed: Mr Mercedes, Finders Keepers & End of Watch. The other book I am reading right now is Tad Williams' "The Witchwood Crown", volume one of his NEW series "The Last Kings of Osten Ard". If you love epic fantasy & you haven't read his "Memory Sorrow & Thorn" trilogy, you are really missing out. George Martin cites it as a strong influence for Game of Thrones. Of course, I'm usually waiting impatiently for a new Lee Child novel too.I've burned through a ton of books this year. Some that I highly recommend:
Born a Crime - Trevor Noah
Big Little Lies - Liane Moriarty
Self Compassion - Kristen Neff
A New Earth: Awaking To Your Life’s Purpose - Eckhart Tolle
Dawn of Wonder - Jonathan Renshaw - if you like immersive fantasy you will love this
I'm currently finishing Inferno the 4th in the DaVinci Code series by Dan Brown. I did a bunch of series this year including Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like to switch back and forth from fiction to non fiction.
"The Art of War" is another issue you may enjoy.......Re-reading A Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi
