Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch of Mass Holes.

When the Nucks were playing the Bruins and losing it was sure agony listening to the Boston Fans while I was on the East Coast.

the braves got lucky that this happened. everyone is talking about the red sox collapse because it's the mighty boston team and the yankees were involved. the braves collapsing has become secondary even though it was just as bad. network execs will be slitting their throats if they end up with a tampa-milwaukee world series.

Girardi was quoted as saying he wished playoffs started Sat. as he'd have more of a regular line-up.

Give Phils credit, they might've been better off if Atl. had the wild card, cuz
Phils would be hosting Ariz.

As it is,they face a hot,momentum-riding Cards team.

Having said that,it's hard to not like Phil with their starting
pitching.team to beat,imo.

Detroit Tigers

Very happy for the people of Detroit with the Tigers series win against the Mighty $ 200 Million Yankees last night and the Lions 4-0 start. The Tigers payroll is already quite big, thanks to party boy Miguel Cabrera's $ 20 M, but only 50% of that of the Yankees. :) :)

However, this year's miracle moneyball team is Arizona at $ 68 Million. I hope they go far.

All my teams didn't make it so I'll just be cheering for the Texas Rangers to make history by winning their first ever World Series. Gee whiz! That's a long drought.

The way the Milwaukee Brewers played defense yesterday against the Cardinals, looks like they had so much BREW before the game. :pound:

ooops! Its actually the Boston Red Sox that seem to have BREW problems before the game. In the Red Sox organization, when you ask them what the DRAFT means, the scouts would tell you about the numerous young prospects they have in the radar, while the players have one word for it, YUMMY!! :pound:

Theo Epstein

Baseball Ivy League Geek GM moves to the Chicago Cubs from Fever Pitch Boston. Theo Epstein broke the curse in Boston will he finally break the curse in Chicago?? Moneyball Billy Beane had Brad Pitt portray his character in a movie while Epstein won the World Series with the Red Sox. Of course, the Red Sox had meltdowns under Epstein ( the last one this season brought about the exit ) and bad expensive signings but the guy did deliver.

The title of the thread best describes tonight's Game 6 between the Cardinals and the Rangers. Such a great game. Texas could have ended their 50-year World Series drought if closer Feliz didn't choked in the 9th inning. Instead, they witnessed Freese play the biggest game of his life that resulted in one hell of a Cardinal's comeback. Indeed, its not over till the fat lady sings. :) :)

Watched every inning and thats very rare for me in baseball. If you dont watch tonight, you dont have a sports pulse. My prediction. St. Louis in a rout. Baseball is so mental, and the Rangers had stagefright in the end so much last night. And Michael Young got pulled, this is Micheal Young we are talking about!

I disagree with the choking comment. I don't know if Ron Washington called for the defensive alignment in the outfield or whether Nelson Cruz wasn't playing deep enough on his own but had he played back like he should have (it's a basic fundamental rule in baseball: when protecting a 2 run or more lead make sure nothing is hit over the heads of your outfielders.) he would have either caught the ball or been in a better position to ensure that only 1 run scored and not 2.

I do agree with your comment about Freese playing well under extreme pressure.

Hopefully tonight's game is as entertaining as last nights. Baseball is funny though. With all the hype of the offense on both teams I wouldn't be surprised if we see a pitching dual tonight.
