We're all going to die, but not by terrorists, or nuclear war. By mosquitoes.

From malaria, to West Nile and now Zika, the little bastards are developing more ways to fuck us up, than what we usually do to ourselves.

And now it looks like Zika can be sexually transmitted.

These mosquitoes aren't a concern to us in Canada. If you want to worry about something its much more likely we get wiped out by some antibiotic resistant virus or the supervolcano underneath Yellowstone

Sometimes I have wondered why are we alive in the first place there are so many things that can kill us. We are actually rather fragile.

If you think about it, if aids was transmitted like the common cold or Ebola or maybe that weird thing you can get from eating beef,
the world would be a very different place indeed.


You know I have wondered about mars, if some bacteria actually started there some pre bacteria or virus started to grow on mars, the plan is at some point in the future for a probe to bring back a Martian soil or rock sample. So what if some weird thing is in the sample and we brought it back we would have no immunity like the Indians did to small pox or chicken pox, I suppose they have thought of it and will take precautions but it took them years to figure out aids and the mad cow thing, by the time they understand it the genie could be out of the bottle.

You know its never the things you plan for that get you, its something you don't see coming.

Zika has been around since 1948 and comes from experiments done with monkeys near the Zika forest in Africa. The first known sexual transmission was known back in the eighties. It's not new. It's just spreading. So is dengue fever by mosquitoes. We are not all doomed. This is nature at work. Survival of the fitest! If it doesn't kill you then you pass the test. It's changing the brains and heads of infants. Is this part of natures design? Will it wipe out a generation of weakness or promote a higher form of intelligence? Like those people who don't go south or copulate with Zikers will survive!

Since Zika is not just restricted to South America you have to stop copulating with southerners so we need more northerners in the trade. Russians, Yukoners, Alaskans, Baltic state humans should be safe. My advice for the day!!

What Dyer fails to mention is International travel. Never in mankind's history have more people traveled so much, to virtually every country in the world.

The amazing thing isn't that Zika, or any other virus has emerged as a threat, but that it hasn't happened so far and been something more virulent, more dangerous and less able to be contained.
