The minutemen have set up a border watch in Blaine and are on the look out for Canadians sneaking across the border to fill those manual labor jobs, that Washingtonians won’t take.

These Canadians are only here to make some US dollars then they will return home and feed their families. Can’t we just leave them alone?

Actually I was hoping to get a Canadian to come down and mow my lawn before winter. Any takers? I will pick you up on 1st ave. in Blaine.

This story in the Seattle Times tells of one Minuteman who caught a cat trying to come across the 49th and he scared it back. Now I can sleep better at night, knowing these guys Stand on Guard for Me.

Well, before everyone things LD has gone soft, I am sure my reasons for thinking these guys should not be there are very different than yours.

I believe we should defend our borders and I fault Bush for not doing more, he has had 5 years and there has been no improvement. For the most part we do a good job on the 49th. We could do better, I am sure many illegals enter through Canada. But with a 5500 mile border to patrol our guys do a good job. And how about your guys they do a crack up job as well and they have an 8800 KM border to watch.

The southern border is a sham. We need to strength the patrols there and do a much better job of dealing with those who cross illegally.

The self-proclaimed minutemen are not professional law enforcement and they do not have the training needed to be one. In my opinion they actually make the problem worse not better. They may even do something extremely stupid like maim or kill some person in their over zealous approach with the American flag wrapped around them. A hollow tipped bullet!!!!!! What the fuck are these guys thinking? Let's face it these guys are not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
