Thanks, Nik. I note that your thread is in the little visited Public Notices forum. This thread in the Lounge will probably garner a little more notice and discussion so having the information spread out a bit will probably help disseminate the information more quickly & widely.
I agree it will get more attention here which is great, but I am just abiding by the organization of perb for where announcements such as this should be made.

^^^ Sounds like you still enjoy threatening people.

Question, how does someone who gets banned for leaking confidential information from multiple LOLs have the arrogance to believe they should be running an LOL.?

Wow, pillowtalk. Let's not point arrows......

I posted this in the ERS Forum so just going to paste it here as well to clear things up..

----

The idea of the ERS SP Lounge was to accept everyone regardless of their reputation until they proved otherwise upon joining the lounge. Now that model was exciting and fun, but not sustainable.

The end product was the admin's had to worry more about policing the lounge then providing benefits to the community. Then came wide spread sharing of private information which was the tipping point. Looking back we should have made this an SP's Public Lounge where SP's could chat amongst themselves but with the posts remaining public.

From what I experienced I would say SP Lounges are best kept within small circles, not large scale. I hope whichever lounges you SP's go to they follow that principle. It really doesn't matter what rules, terms and screening are in place in a lounge if the members are far too many. Large scale private lounges which hold sensitive information in a community of this nature is playing with fire. Trusting individuals with such sensitive information is almost like trusting someone with keys to your house. There is no need for more then a select few of your friends and families to have an extra pair - after that you are asking for trouble.

We tried our approach, and it didn't work out for the goals we had for it and now it is closed. This is the honest truth, and there is nothing more to it. This lounge was not for profit, it was something I launched to help the community get together. I knew ERS had plenty of traffic, so it would have been a first of its kind in BC to be able to have so many participants in an SP Lounge. As an admin Susie did the best she could given the resources and time she had. By the time I handed the lounge to Susie the model in place was already wrong and it was just a matter of time for this to happen.

In the end it was a lounge I created on ERSList and it was my failure and decision to close it. Susie was just an admin trying to help. Please remember that.

*This is purely my opinion on the incident.*

Regards,
Nik

Thanks Nik for being professional.

I wanted to see if it would lead to any discussion, positive or negative.

As Mod-2 has responded but not LOCKED this thread, please everyone lets not point fingers.
