...The "too clean when very young" hypothesis regarding allergies continues to find more support. The last I heard they were talking about the age at which a child needs exposure to lots of muck.

When I was a kid, we swam in the same pond as the cattle drank from, at the same time. I tried to keep my eyes and mouth closed, but I still got a good dose of E. Coli and faecal coliform. And yes, the old timers say you have to eat a peck* of dirt in your life time.

Right around the time when Doctors started saying don't feed your kid peanut butter till they are two years old, there was a dramatic spike in peanut allergies,a few years later.
They now know if a person is slowly introduced to peanuts later in life the tolerance level can be increased , and sometimes reversed.

Measles are much worse than people think. Mortality from measles is low but the disease can seriously damage your immune system.

Yes, great point. The diseases we created vaccines to protect us against can have horrible, irreversible, devastating effects on our bodies and minds.....that's why we created vaccines to protect us lol.

If you're born after 1970, you need TWO doses of the measles vaccine. You can get an MMR booster from any immunization clinic. I got mine at the Vancouver Coastal Health Clinic on Broadway.
