Bought myself a waterbed mattress on Amazon a month back. Queen size $165, king $195.
Whipped together a quick frame with 2x10’s that easily assemble and disassemble.

My casual lady friend and I have enjoyed it a couple times!
It’s not my permanent bed and it’s not something I want my kids to see so it gets set up and put away!Lol!

Decided to order up some “Platinum Massage Gel Powder” from Amazon.
Seems like a less expensive alternative to true nuru.
Anyone try that stuff?

Should be fun frolicking around with that on the waterbed! Trying to decide whether to keep the silk sheets on or off the waterbed bladder while utilizing the gel or not! Lol.

A bad back tortured me 'til a workmate gave me his old waterbed. Got a new mattress and sleep like a baby ever since. Had one in the eighties, but found with the satin sheets I couldn't get any purchase. Prone or supine is fine, balancing on one leg or handstands are quite risky.

My first time with a girl in an actual bed was in a water bed!! (fist was in car's back seat, not nearly as comfortable) and many great memories of water beds after that.

There are some great position options when an arm or leg is underneath a partner without getting crushed, like it would on a normal mattress. NURU wasn't a thing back then but geezus I'm wishing it was!!!

My instinct for the NURU would be sheets off and use the frame for purchase when needed, but the powder might give a different effect. The joy is that you get to experiment as many times as you like!!

For nuru, I like the feel of oily bodies but hate the mess. So I bring a bottle of baby shampoo into the shower and use it liberally. Baby shampoo gives the same slick feel as oil but without the mess, and is also gentle on your eyes or private parts if it gets somewhere it's not supposed to be.

If your bathroom is big enough and has a tile floor you can put an air mattress on it and use it for nuru slides. They do this in the spas in Thailand (they call it a "Soapy")

So throwing in here on the logistics of waterbeds ... And to add once you get the rhythm right on a FULLY SETUP WATERBED WITH THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE, the waves do work for great fucking, no question.

But.
First there is the setting up and you need to pick the spot where that bed is going to go because once its filled you are NOT going to move it, so make sure you have it right AND that the floor is good to handle it. (fun fact a queen sized mattress full of water will weigh about 1750 pounds)
Then there is the algae resist stuff you need to add while filling, and on the filling, give yourself a good few hours after you have fucked with hooking up a hose and flowing water into it.
During the fill, a few fucks with making sure the corners are where they are supposed to be and you need to do this early in the fill unless you have sybian like arms and can move 100's of pounds dead weight.
So now its filled and you want to hop on and start with the full on action but its like hopping into your chest freezer so you need to wait a day or two for the heater to warm up the water. YOU DID PUT THE HEATER IN PLACE DIDN'T YOU?? .....
OK now its all setup and warm and you say fuck yeah and let the games begin.
Games now in FULL ON, on that bed and its a year or 2 or 3 or ... later and you have to move so you now need to DRAIN THE GODDAM THING. More fucking with the hose and the little hookup gizmo and where the fuck did you put that fucking little piece of fucking shit. So off to the store to buy one ... Now you work this to try to get the drain working, remember syphons? Yeah that's what you are setting up and it starts the drain process. Which works until it doesn't. Then you need to get it syphoning again ...
Now you have the majority of the water out but there is ALWAYS ENOUGH LEFT TO MAKE MOVING THE MATTRESS A FULL ON WEIGHT LIFTING EXPERIENCE.
So you do what you can to move it or get more out, rinse and repeat.

Anyway, all said, I agree that sex on a well setup water bed is great. Just as long as someone else does all the setting up, maintaining, cleaning around it and when its time to move it, they can do that.
Writing this from experience by the way.

Been there done that!
Had a waterbed until I was 18.
Had it in an upstairs bedroom for a good 10 or 11 years, doing all the maintenance shit, patching little leaks caused by my cat and his claws, etc.

My mom rented out the basement suite and right before I graduated high school the tenants moved out….then I moved in agreeing to pay rent, while I worked between graduating high school and attending college.

Was easy enough draining the bed from the second floor using the siphon method.
Also easy enough filling that son-bitch in the basement.
Plenty of fun on that bed was had now that I had a full basement suite to myself! God damn that was fun!!!

Time came that I was to start full time college and needed to save money so back upstairs I go, no longer having to pay rent!
Bed was now in the basement, siphon drain method no longer practical. Basement floor drain wasn’t draining well, being a 35 year old house at the time.
Borrowed a shop vac from a friend. Spent all fucking day sucking water out of the water bed and draining the vacuum every 30 seconds.
Got to the point where I said “Fuck it!” Mattress was super old by this point!
Dragged the mattress still with some water in it out the basement door up some steps to the back yard. Pulled out a pocket knife, and sliced that fucker open letting the remaining water out and tossed out the waterbed bladder for good.
Went with my mother the next day and bought a regular single mattress, threw it in the waterbed frame and my waterbed days were over! Think it kinda fucked my back up sleeping in that water bed all those years anyways!

Basically a waterbed with an air frame surrounding the water bladder.
No need for injury causing wood frames!

Still need to deal with the filling and draining shit but…..looks rather fun still….especially with nuru!

Ayyyyyyyeeeee! I'm glad y'all had a good time, without injury. Hopefully not just a good time, but plenty of laughs, because there can be awkward moments and noises between two, naked
and slippery bodies. I have wicked childhood memories of my neighbours trampoline and us kids putting dish soap and the sprinkler on. I didn't die, but we got close, lol.
That waterbed insert does look doable. However, my preference is the actual branded Nuru air mattresses to execute my fluid sliding movements. I'd still give that 1 thumb up though.
