Was someone trying to hack my account?

When to log in numerous times today, and the strangest thing happened.

Each time I went to log in... (several successive attempts one after another, followed by a 2 hour break and then several more successive attempts)... I immediately received a message saying that I was locked out for fifteen minutes because I had tried to log in five times incorrectly.

It is almost as if someone was continuously trying to probe my login ID and kept locking out.

Very odd.

That happened to me this evening too!

It has happened a few times in the past few weeks. I am wondering if it's a system malfunction or if someone just tries to hack into accounts.

It concerns me more than just a little.

This has happened to me on three different occasions now. I believe that the cause is a technical bug which PERB gets around to fixing after someone (like me, for one) emails them describing the problem.
