Our stance on BBFS ad's is we do not allow them at all. They can take time to locate but when found they are removed.

Get off the soapbox man.

1. People are hypocrites (ie. if we want to carry the driving analogy to the extreme, how much do you think your dependence on oil is responsible for the many wars that the western world engages in?)

2. You just used the word "reckless" - so explain to us what your definition of "reckless" is then, because clearly 1 in 1,000,000 falls within the boundaries of your definition.

3. You could probably alleviate any risk of catching HIV if

a) you castrated yourself, or
b) you stopped having sex, or
c) you wrapped yourself up in duct tape during sex

amongst a number of other measures you could take to protect yourself from your own shadow. The truth of the matter is that people in this world are motivated to do what they do for nearly almost everything they do because they find an activity is pleasurable - some activities have no risk, some have low risk, and some are high risk. The problem here is that people are at odds from what they interpret as "reckless" behaviour because many people a) are ignorant of the statistics and clearly fall for the fear mongering without thinking about things, or b) they have a different risk tolerance than others.

No one is saying you should go bbfs from this point going forward. However I think this discussion clearly illustrates that people such as yourself perpetuate myths about the actual scale of the risk people are taking if they happen to choose this activity.

You sound like one of these people who would never have intercourse with anyone without protection irrespective of your relationship. Is this the case, because there will always be "some" risk involved with this activity.
I used the word reckless in the context of driving - reckless driving - an offense because someone is operating a motor vehicle without regard for the safety of those around them.

Pedestrians take a risk every time they walk down the street. They know that most drivers are careful, however there are a small number of morons who not only take themselves out of the gene pool, but take a few innocents along with them.

Yes those pedestrians take a calculated risk, calculating that their odds of getting mowed down by a reckless cretin who calculated that his personal selfish odds of getting mashed into a light pole are acceptably low. But does that cause us to stop criticizing the driver? It was simply a miscalculation right? And the odds were pretty low.

We're all swimming in the same pool here. With skydiving go ahead and do what you want. The face plant is yours and yours alone.

My personal 'risk tolerance' is irrelevent. So is yours. This is a respect for others thing.

This is bs...there's been so many ads that obviously state "no condom", "no cover"... etc. Just a quick search with the word "condom" or "cover" will do.

But this is where your analogy becomes incredibly misguided and can be interpreted as offensive. You draw this picture parallelling some raging lunatic "cretin" screaming around in a car at 160mpg wiping out hordes of pedestrians and equate this to two consentual partners participating in an act that people have done since mankind came into existence.

Guess what? People also die in car accidents just because someone makes an innocent mistake - or even because sometimes shit just happens due to no fault of their own. You come across as "that guy" who says we should change all speed limits to 30km/h and everyone should wear a helmet in the car because this way no one will ever die due to driving.

People engaging in consensual sex are not committing insanely horrifying criminal acts that "recklessly" endanger the entire population of the world - nor you - if and because they might choose not to wear a condom. You are fully capable of protecting yourself from this bogeyman - if you wrap it up you're going to be just fine so what are you actually even worried about?

You say your "personal risk tolerance is irrelevent"...but clearly it is to you, because you formulate judgements that compel you to "criticize the driver" so to speak because of it, despite the fact that your risk tolerance would keep you from ever walking outside your front door if you applied the same risk standards to the rest of your life as you to about this one specific issue.

There would be no real way to tell

Nik, come on. Your ad policies are almost never enforced. You have "verified" users constantly using fake pics. You have paid advertisers using beaver shots, against your own rules, you have dozens of BBFS ads up every single day and more all the time. If you are honestly trying to enforce your own rules, you need to hire another mod/admin, because your track record is pretty awful.
Ok, haymitch...so which escort advertising website does do a good job at enforcing the rules? BP??? Oh yeah, I cannot tell you how many times I have sent them money only to have my ad removed - and without even a email as to why. CL at least those courteous folks send an email to let you know "your ad has been flagged for removal").

Did you know you are not even allowed to use the word SAFE in your ad on BP. Your ad can be removed for using the word "safe"!!!!!!!

For me, personally, ERS gives me the freedom to post what I want, when I want. If you advertise on ERS then you are on the radar of hobbyists such as yourself, who can then post warnings for others to see right here on PERB.

I agree. Get rid of the Beaver shots/bbfs ads/fake pics....but what r we coming to learn??? IT IS PART OF THE BIZ and it sucks. PEOPLE WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOUR FOOT IN THEIR DOOR. Then they figure you will be too horny to leave. Don't stay, LEAVE...and report it here.

Just keep up your neighbourhood watch program and try to stick to girls who have more good reviews than bad.:)

Maybe we should just get rid of the whole verified system, since there seems to be a fairly large loop hole there. (<3 u, Nik)

edit: Or maybe the pic that is used for verification has to be "frozen" to the ad...that way it is always there??? OR if the "verified" pic is removed then they also lose their verified check mark?????

Oh and DING, DING, DING...I think Ms.Sarah hit it on the nose here...

Or what if the SP has no idea that her handler is advertising that she does BBFS?

Oh and ahhh...that's a joke right, this guy is joking???
