Victoria
In Victoria over the last 5 years, 3 agencies (Class Choice, Seductions, and VIPS) have shut down and in the last 4? years 2 agencies have started up. What I seemed to notice was the closed agencies was the lack of high class escort and more the average woman in the line ups and pictures online websites. Any successful escort went independent or moved to Vancouver. The closed agencies also started to have a drop in numbers of escorts too.

When IF started up they had the higher class escorts (I would call them better bods), but also a higher base price then the closed agencies and list of extras to be had ( the list of extras DFK, LFK, DATY, BBBJ, COF, COB, Fingers, GREEK, if you touched them, you pay extra). IF it seemed to appear out of nowhere with a few women that were on Fetlife.
Vogue then started up with the same basic higher price and lists for anything extra.

On IF and Vogue websites they have a large list of ladies available, but they seem only to work once in a while, with 5-7 being on a regular schedule.

5 years ago I would of defined a GFE, as sex, cbj, daty and lfk (all included). PSE as GFE plus bbbj and ass play or other sport.

Today GFE base price + daty + lfk. PSE is base pay +daty + lfk + bbbj + other. Overall the increase in the number of extras increased the overall price of the session.

I have to wonder if the higher prices at IF and Vogue contributed in some way to loss of the other 3 agencies in Victoria. (here i'm thinking the better looking gals went to get better wages).

Already the price of inflation has made several hobbyists cut back on pooning. So I am guessing that they are not paying for alot of the extras which they would normally have gotten 5 years ago.

I'm just wondering if escorts business models are going to be changing due to inflation. eg. Lower prices and make up the difference in Volume, or Quality and charge for all extras or a set price overall for the session.

The problem I see is that if the basic rate is too high, or the extras are too expensive, pooners will not bite.

It might mean more aggressive men walking the streets.

You could consider starting a university course on the subject, a sub-category 3 credit course at a local university titled “The Business of Sexwork” with Professor 80 watts.
You ask some valid questions. There are so many variables in the equation I wouldn’t even consider hazarding a guess.
Having been to Europe I have seen the different ways we deal with sex work vs. the European model. We have much to learn and to change.
How many men do you know that advocate for the *rights* of the average John? None that I know of. So we exist in a bubble of undisputed semi-legality. Sort of.

Demand is pretty inelastic, especially with the continual influx of hot money, and people who don't need to work for a living. I'm on the mainland where 300/h became the "standard" rate only months ago. Now 300/45 is starting to be the "new normal." It'll only keep getting higher. There are guys who poon/review at least once a week on Perb, every single week. I'm sure they are not the only ones being able to do so.

charging extra for every little thing is quite off-putting and transactional, almost like they’re gonna send and invoice afterwards with all the extras, fees and add taxes lol. Other countries and cultures operate in a very different way, which might be due to legality and normalization of sex work itself culturally.

Can't speak to Class Choice or Seduction Unlimited as they closed just as I was getting back into this hobby. However, SweetVIPs certainly had some gorgeous and exquisite women working there -- Siren (now at IF); Ravi/Frankie (Vogue, now Indy); Mischa (Indy); all top of the line in looks and services.

There were more I got to see but they are no longer 'available' so I won't mention names.

I will say that under different circumstances, the pricing and menu selections would dissuade me from seeing very many ladies. But considering I'm going to more funerals than birthday parties every year, I'm not too concerned about my finances like I was when I was young. I can, however, say that 'sticker shock' is real at times even in my situation.

I don't have any answers. Two bucks a litre for gas; nearly six bucks for a 'commercial' loaf of bread; rent is nuts, insurance is nuts, and taxes are about to go nuts, so how can we realistically complain about what the ladies charge when everyone else is breaking the bank for shit we can't even enjoy!

I would say that my cost has stayed about the same for the last couple of years. With regards to extra costs, I find that these are asked about 15 to 20% of the time. But then I am pooning in a different market. I have been curious about the Victoria market but the cost of the ferry, hotel, etc., just isn't worth it in addition to the time to get there.
