Great packaging for something you can't have this holiday season!

The image above shows the Windows Vista Ultimate (this is the one you want), Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Family and Vista Business.

The Microsoft Office 2007 will also be packaged the same style.

The thing is I cannot remember to ever buy a Microsoft Operating System in a retail package. I always got OEM versions.

They sure screwed the pooch on that one....IMO.

But all is not lost. I believe certain manufactures....dell, gateway, etc are offering free or greatly reduced offers on Vista when it hits some time in Jan or Feb if you bought a PC over the Yuletide season.

PS: Mac OS 10.5 (leopard me thinks) is also soon to be out.

Ach...the horror.

I came to this site to get away from my current horrors I am encountering with Vista right now.

Thanks! Even on a pooner website I can't escape my job!

PS. When Mac OS reaches an iteration of 40+ and keeping with it's naming scheme, will it's name be "Cougar"? ;)

They don't make any money off Service Packs - Vista makes sense from Microsofts point of view.
