I don't know that's true Vanessa... although there might be some of that going on. I hobby in the Toronto/Niagara area, but my limited experience in Vancouver/Whistler has not been dissimilar... Guys are no-shows because the girl was a "Plan B". Ladies so often screw guys around by not showing up at the last minute, or delaying and delaying, that many guys (and for the record, I am not one of them!) routinely book a second lady so there's a fall-back. Just as you have pointed out that the ladies get all prepared, we guys anticipate a visit for DAYS... and then often end up with nothing.
On a visit last year, I had a prebooked appointment with Josie Roxxx, who I'd seen three times before. I let her know I'd arrived in town, all was good. I texted when I got to her place, and she told me she was running 30 minutes late. No problem. 40 minutes later, I hadn't heard anything, so I texted again. After a few minutes she responded that she just needed a few minutes. After another 15, I texted again, and got no reply. And I've never heard from her again. I guess it was me who drover her into retirement!
I ended up with lackluster rub at 540. Had I been smart, I'd have booked another top lady for an hour later as "Plan B" then bailed at the last minute. But I don't do that...
I didn't say it never happens, there will always be shit-disturbers out there. But a good portion? No.
Fact of the matter is...guy sees touring lady's ad, gets excited about seeing her.
He books the appointment (hoping he can come up with the money, which is extra, as well as make his appointment at the agreed-upon time), nervously looks forward to her arrival, starts to get worried that it looks like he'll be stuck at the office/factory/job site/whatever, doesn't want to alert her that their appointment may be fucked, or scenario two, that he can't really come up with the money...appointment time comes and he's a dumb ass, who doesn't have the decency to contact her and tell her that he fucked up.
Touring ladies do not get the opportunity to develop the relationships with their clientele that local ladies do. Oh sure, every once in a while a touring lady will have a client for whom she is a favourite, and he'll book her whenever she's in town, but that's not the common, day-to-day experience.
If one of my regular visitors has an unscheduled meeting, or is caught in bad traffic, which completely throws off his schedule, he can explain, and we'll make it happen another day. This is not the case for the touring lady who is only here for a brief stay, and who has no relationship with her caller(s).
And this DOES NOT only happen in Vancouver. I have heard from other touring ladies that this is a common and recurring problem, all over the country. Even when our own Vancouver ladies go off in search of busier schedules elsewhere. Anyways, some ladies do still seem to have a successful touring business, and they make it work. It's just not as easy as it may sound and those ladies complaining are discovering the hard reality of being in a new area, with no regulars to rely on.
Nothing can compete with developing a local loyal following, who are eager to see you regularly, even if that's only 5 times per year. Have enough of those and you'll have a six-figure income, without the travel expenses...
Sometimes you get lucky and manage to swing another appointment short notice though. I remember last year Kayleigh Carter had an "emergency, surprise period" which I as a man clearly know nothing about, and had to cancel 30 minutes before a 6 PM appointment and then I got to see Blonde Brynn shortly after so it did work out.
I've had enough cancelations and flake outs from SPs that I don't try to expect too much but leave pleased when I run into a lady that runs her business with professionalism.

You guys are just being paranoid. The more likely reason is that touring SPs usually take bookings well in advance, and by the time they arrive the client's situation has changed and can't/won't go through with it. And they just don't call to tell her that.
Local ladies on the other hand will take bookings on much shorter notice, typically when they advertise they are free that day either here or on ERS.

Honestly, I think notice with postings on ad sites maybe 2 weeks or so beforehand make it way easier for me to make decisions. Sometimes I find when one is coming and do a bit of background on her (on PERB or even the reviews on their own web site) by the time I am ready to see them they pretty much have to leave.
Sigh, there's just no easy answer but I prefer to see those gentlemen that can pre-book...
January, right after the holidays, isn't exactly the greatest month to tour, or to form an opinion on how good (or bad) for touring a city is. January is usually a decent month in my experience but it seems like a bad idea to tour (to a new city?) in mid January. Unless an sp was returning and had regulars lined up, I really don't get why anyone would take on the added expenses and risk of touring in mid January. Seems like a bad plan to me.

There is enough money for everyone to go around. False bookings in my opinion are totally unnecessary.
I went to edmonton to work a couple months ago and it was a bust for me. Sooooo many inquiries but not a lot of bookings. I'm surprised to hear of all the no shows? I can smell it when someone is flaky. If they have to many questions that make no sense or need me to repeat my ad. If I feel someone is going to mess with my time I put on my "dont fuck with me ' voice in our confirmation call. I ask to right questions, a reference or handle and I think I've had two or three no shows.
Most experienced touring escorts would not say anything publicly so when someone does it should be taken seriously mainly so any other ladies who are thinking about touring and doing their searches won't get caught up in the bullshit .
I wish some of the touring agencies would chirp in I would be curious about what their experiences are , I wonder if they get fake appointments and no shows ? I think it's mainly cancelations . Cancelations are tricky because how can you not have a heart And a laugh at some of the elaborate excuses these fake booker fuckers say .
I have been told by several touring girls they now mostly avoid Van. Part of it is the staggering amount of sp's vs. smaller cities. Average rates are definitely higher elsewhere, and I have been told the micros/amp's are a big part of this. I think clients in Van have a lot of choice, all the time, and for less than $300/hr, and the excitement factor just isn't there compared to other places where well reviewed sp's can be few and far between. Trust me when I say this is not meant in any way as an offense to the local ladies.

I wouldn't count on getting a same day with a touring escort. Many have no same day appointments policies because they have a method of getting references that requires 24 hours.
Touring can be dangerous it is not aways in an escorts best interest to see a client within a few hours . I never accept a new client within an hour here in Vancouver that just doesn't feel safe for me even if its slow its just not worth the risk of of a weirdo ( which occasionally works out amazing so no slight to the weirdos) but the annoyance factor ages a woman and makes her eat donuts so NO!

The reason an escort would come to Vancouver is because she can consistently yield a higher rate than anywhere else in Canada as long as she makes at least 2 regulars each time she visits. Many men prefer a touring escort because the level of discretion is higher theres an excitement factor and often times the Escort is just better than anyone else on the planet lol

Since I have moved away and make monthly visits to Vancouver, I have definitely noticed an increase in no shows/fake bookings. Its definitely frustrating but I'm that much more appreciative of the clients who follow through or at least let me know when a cancellation needs to happen.
