You should be able to see on the sites payment options if it is accepted.
 
Yep, good idea to register it at the website on the back of the card, some online sales won't go through unless you register it. Postal Code is the key, they match it with the one you give when you register. Its quick and easy. I LOVE those cards, SOooooo much better than shopping with credit cards, NO BILL! :)

Even with the registration with the postal code, there are still some that don't accept it, but there is as far as I know no way to really tell ahead of time. It can depend on who does the processing of the transaction. I've had some things accepted no problem, and another got reversed. Doesn't let you know at the time of the purchase tho, found out after the fact.

Make sure you use it.....a lot of gift cards have expiry dates.....the Alberta government passed legislation some time back that no gift card can have an expiry date.....I dont know the legal situation in other provinces though.
