Any info virgin mobile services?
I'm stuck with telus ,Have already got rid of internet service with telus .It's time to switch carrier,cause really fed up with their service.Recently added family plan and gave a new phone to my wife .What i didn't know was that they reuse or recycle old numbers. The number my wife got was used by a escort and the advertisement is still active in the net.The number was 604 9103687 belonging 20yr old libby. Her pic not bad looking bending and showing her pretty bum,anyway my wife was getting calls all night even 5 in the morning.Finally i manage to talk to one off the guy who was calling.And got the info that this number is in the net,and all u do is google the number and u can see the advertisement.Telus should not reuse or atleast check and see that this number is still advertise somewhere,a good tool google dumb assholes.
Anyway i saw the brouchers for virgin mobile free system acess fee,free caller id and few other things wondering any guys using this carrier would like the info thanks

Recycling is a fact of life, otherwise they would have to create more area codes.
They used to have to wait 6 months from the time a number is not in service until they can give it to someone else.
Even that is not long enough, given that internet ads can hang around a long time (as you found out).

I haven't used them but they seem pretty competitive for the pay as you go market.

You may have better luck if you explain the situation to the telus dealer rather than trying to contact telus directly.

I'm sure the guys calling up are not happy to find that their numbers are now in the caller id of someone who isn't actually an sp.

Speaking as someone who has nearly no use for cell phones except in an emergency, Virgin has been easy to deal with and is fabulously cheap. I dunno what people who use their phones a lot would think, but I'm pretty happy. Only drawback is buying one of their phones.

I can’t believe Telus (not a dealer in the mall) will not give you another number if you explain the problem. They don’t like loosing customers and when the number portability comes up in March ( I believe) the deals to stay with any carrier should be great.

And Virgin sucks, they all suck, go with the one that works best with your calling area.

I can't wait for number portability. The US has had it for some 2-3 years now. Our CRTC slows everywthing down.
