Hello everyone!

I will be visiting Victoria for 5 days next week, and am looking for some any hidden gems or general recommendations for hotels.

The Empress is too stodgy, and the rooms are painfully small. I would really like a place that has as many of the following attributes as possible:

1) Large in size. Suites would be perfect! I love to have enough space to breathe ...... and practice my boxing and ballet if possible
2) A hot tub or jacuzzi would be a bonus
3) A restaurant with amazing food and wine in case I am feeling lazy and just want room service.
4) A good gym

I also love new experiences, so if there are any fun, artsy, funky or otherwise different and unique places, even if they don't meet the request above, I would love to hear them!

I may see a couple of friends, but I am very selective an low volume, so key cards shouldn't be an issue.

Please feel free to PM me your suggestions, or email me at Angel@ClassyAngel.com if you prefer to keep your suggestion discreet.

Wishing everybody an amazing weekend, filled with love, joy, peace, health, happiness, fun, laughter, value creation, appreciation, gratitude and abundance!

With light, love and gratitude,

Angel

I've stayed at the Empress many times, and your right the rooms are very small, but now I've discovered Bed and Breakfasts in Victoria...My go too is the Craigmyle Inn right in front of the Craigduroch castle....But privacy may be an issue for you "The beds are verrrrry squeeky"
I got some dirty looks ,and a few awkward smiles at the breakfast table.
If you want funky , artsy ,or unique.....take the Ferry over to Saltspring Island...It's like no place on earth.

I've only been in a few suites here that had jacuzzis in them (not to say there aren't tonnes more!)

One was in the Laurel Point Inn, which also has a great restaurant. This would be my pick. Great views too!
Another was Harbour House, which isn't as nice but the room was really big.
Another was some hotel/timeshare place also in the James Bay hotel zone. I can't remember the name. Maybe someone else here knows. Nice suite but the jacuzzi was on an enclosed patio, so could be chilly in Feb.

Have fun!!

I've enjoyed my stay at the Delta Ocean Pointe in Victoria.

Meets all of your criteria.

Magnolia Hotel and Spa located in the downtown core. Close to everything. Especially convenient if you're flying in via Harbor Air; a two block walk from the harbour. Very modern and very well kept rooms. Bonus: nice fresh good quality continental breakfast in the morning. It's not a Costco breakfast.

Gym is small but has the core machines one needs. It's seldom used. If the facilities are not to your liking, I believe they offer free vouchers to use the facilities over at the YMCA located a couple blocks away.

There is also a decent restaurant located within the hotel. If that's not good enough, then other restaurants are quite close nearby.

Thank you to everybody for your responses ~ whether in this thread, via PM, or through email. I really appreciate all the time and effort each of you made to help ensure my visit to your beautiful city is as fantastic as possible. If the friendliness shown here is indicative of the general Victoria population, I am going to have an incredible week ;-)

Tank you again to everybody!

May your spirits be filled with peace, your hearts with love, and your bodies with health!

With light, love and gratitude,

Angel
