Shill on PERB is when a reviewer constantly promotes a particular SP or establishment. Obvious patterns of shilling are when the reviewer is brand new to PERB and mentions the same lady multiple times in a short period of time in multiple threads, or when the reviewer only does positive reviews of one lady. Another pattern is when there are negative reviews from numerous established PERBerts and some newbie writes a review that goes against the grain of the negative reviews.

Quite often it`s a SP who has created another separate profile on PERB to make it look like a guy who`s doing an honest positive review of the lady. Other times it may be a real guy who is trying to gain favour with his favorite SP for lower rates, more services or whatever reason. I guess in some cases it could also be some guy pimping his SP.

There is also a reverse kind of shilling where the guy will put down other rival SP`s to help promote his favorite.

There does seem to be a tendancy for people to shout "Shill" following a review by a newbie especially if the review is extremely positive. I think you need to see a posting history from that guy before calling shill. I think we`ve driven away honest pooners who want to contribute a review but are worried about being branded a shill. What`s really funny is when the guys crying "Shill" only have a handful of posts. IMO it`s one thing for an experienced poster to call shill, but other newbies should keep their mouths shut until they have more to contribute. Shilling is one of the worst things you can accuse a guy of doing when it comes to review boards. You`re basically calling his character into question and most newbies won`t put up with that, they`ll just walk away rather than dealing with the accusations. Calling shill should not be taken lightly and only done when it`s obvious.
