Hey everyone,
My wife and I are going to vegas for a week. Were staying at the Bellagio and have a couple of shows booked. I was wondering if any one of you could let me know what things you like to do while in Vegas.
Cheers

Surprise your wife and take her to a little wedding chapel.
Renew your vows.
Amazing the returns you'll get from her in your marriage. :D

If you haven't booked it, check it out.....it's an adults only Cirque du Soleil at New York New York....my wife and I did a stop-over on our way to Key West just to see it, this past Christmas...very sensual, a little raunchy. lots of naked sweet young things. Gets the juices flowing very nicely....... :D

My 2 cents worth

Blue Man Group - Funny as hell. try to get as close as possible to view their expressions.

MGM - play the majestic lions 1 & 2 & 5 dollar slots. I brought back $1500 thanks to them.

Caesars - Once did a 5 minute walk through and walked out $1000 more also on slots.

Good pair of walking shoes

Celine - Upper Balcony seats sucks, lights relfect off the stage.

Nothing is free in Vegas, no matter what they say and it's easy to win money in Vegas it's hard to hold onto it.

taxis

I forgot, if you take a taxi from the airport they will ask you if you want the fast way or the slow way. The fast way is by the freeway and cost about $20 the slow way is through town and cost about $10-12 No real time saving. Prepay rides (bus) can hit every hotel, last time it took an hr from the time we got in the bus to get to our hotel. never again, taxi only.

Lukewarmwater....

Many things ARE free in Vegas, 10 IQ man. Free drinks at many sportsbooks, coupon specials, some good lounge shows, ect. Go to Vegas.com, see what is going on during your stay, don't miss the FREE water show at the Ballagio, and enjoy the greatest tram ride in the U.S.A. (from the Sahara to the MGM Grand)! Also, don't forget to hit Cheetahs strip club!

Penn & Teller at the Rio.
The Steak & Crab special at the Paris.
For gambling, stick to the lower end hotels like the Circus Circus. They're hungrier for biz so the odds are higher than at some of the newer, flashier hotels.

free

What I meant by "free" is the time share street hustlers, free show, free tour, free dinner. All you have to do is come to this seminar and spend 3 hours. If your a Trecky the Hilton is a must, it's free.
The tram ride is NOT free $2 one way or $6 for all day

Jesus Christ..

Why the hell would you want to go with the old lady?

Leave the bag at home, then go.

Vegas is no place to take broads.

Was there this spring with my SO.

Celine is worth the $500 CDN it will set you back, no question.

Cirque du Soleil at Belagio is 90 mins of pure eye candy.

Zumanity was good for about 1/3 of the acts. If you want sensuality
go to one of the ubiquotus (sp?) strip joints.

For dinner, try a night at the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower where you can
dine and watch the Belllagio fountains.

My fave city!

Most people never see it but the Fremont St. Experience in Old LV
is free and way cool. I'ts an over head movie that is 3 blocks long.

Vegas Tram

The tram costs 3 bucks for a one-way ride, 6 bucks for a round trip, 10 bucks for a day pass, and 25 bucks for a three day pass. I was in Vegas late last month and bought two three day passes for 50 bucks.

"..what things you like to do in Vegas?" everything.

ask me what I do not want to do: walk those Vegas city blocks.
("the Blah Casino? it's 2 blocks that way"..) So you think, oh, that's near. One hour later. . . you're still walking.

Endless Walking

The tram has really helped out in that department! However, being the world class walker I am, I always walk from my hotel room to Cheetahs strip club.

Celine Dion

I would commit suicide before seeing Celine Dion. Last year I flew a girlfrieds friend down with us so I wouldn't have to go.

Now the fact the friend was hot had nothing to do with it.

If you are staying at the Bellagio you should get a pool cabana for the day $150 it is so worth it.

Last year Tom Brady (QB New England Patriots) and his GF Bidgette Moynahan had a Cabana next to us. Classy guy, we talked a bit (he actually was interested in a book I was reading and I know a guy who went to Michagan with him). We ended up having lunch together. Trust me, you don't get to have lunch with Bridgette Moynahan at Circus Circus.

Our hostess for the Cabana (very hot) has obviously served many of the rich and famous. I joked that sadly for her it was non celebrity day for her in cabana #26. As we were there all day (about 8 hours) we all chatted quite a bit, and had fun (she was actually from Canada originally). She would share stories about the odd celebrity. The week previous, Tom Hanks had used the same cabana (something tells me he did not have to pay the $150). I guess he is pretty laid back, but his wife Rita Wilson is the Dragon Queen, complaining about everything, and tipping almost nothing.

The other part of the Bellagio that is great is the tables I have played Blackjack with Joe Torre and his wife, poker against Bill Gates (8-16 limit which is funny because he could buy the casino for cash), you see Daniel Negranu (Canadian Guy who is basically the top poker player in the world) in the poker room there.

The Bellagio is very nice place. I am not sure what kind of room you have, but if you get upgraded to a corner room (ask) you will be happy. It is a great place, very nice staff, and an environment where average people are walking amongst the famous.

I was roped into trying a night downtown to see the Freemont Experience. Very second-rate compared to the entertainment on the strip. Looks like a highschool kid programed the light show.

anywho....my 2 cents

I agree seen it, took the tram then waited 25 min for the bus, then a 10 min bus ride through some very shady parts of town. I will not be back.
