Any one going? I might go solo and wondering if any would like to chat pre-trip/possibly meet n' greet there.

What Canadians don't like 114 F ?

Who knew :D

I like the dry desert air and heat. Besides there is always a cool pool to jump into if you can't take it for more than 15 minutes or so.

I don't mind it one bit. I've been before in August, and the cliche of "dry heat" is true--it's not nearly as oppressive as a humid, muggy summer heat.

I have been going every Labour Day W/E for years and have spent a fair amount of time outdoors while there. The heat is not as oppressive as some think IMHO.

You can only spend so much time indoors there anyways before the music and atmosphere finally gets to you.

Vegas would surely welcome more visitors. First, Macau already overtook Sin City in total gaming revenues. And this year even Singapore with only 2 world-class resort gaming properties is expected to earn more than the Vegas Strip as well. :) :)

A week and a half ago, I was in Vegas for a two day business trip. Holy smokes... 40+ degrees. For me, it's hard to move let alone think in such temperatures. As Hatrick mentioned, Spring and Fall would be ideal if high temperatures are an issue for you.

Either way, happy safe travels.

Just dont go out as much. The deals are so cheap.

Had to wait over an hour once in the taxi lineup, and was still in jeans. It was 44.

I am going twice next month. I am going to go to a baseball game too.

Summer in Vegas means pool parties which is now considered a must for every hotel property. I prefer the Encore Beach Club and Wet Republic these days. The Rehab at the Hard Rock, which started it all, still gets packed on the weekends but the ratio of boys to girls is turning out to be like Whistler's nightlife sausage factory. :) :)
