Ignorance is Bliss

I don't know if Cristal is racist and don't really care. If she isn't racist, then she is clearly either ignorant, uninformed, insensitive or all of the above. Quite frankly I would not want someone working on the front lines of my business if I found this out in this completely inappropriate manner.

Cristals' 'apology' does ring hollow:

"One miss typed word can change the theme of a message"

Is how Cristal has explained herself and the following is her 'miss typed' word:

"Thankfully his equipment is asian sized"

Is this then a 'miss typed' sentence?

Please...take our money, take as much as you providers can and deserve, but Cristal, please, please please, don't treat us like idiots...

I think we have really gone too far on this topic. One bad asian client doesn't make all asians bad. One white's insensitive comment doesn't make all whites racists. If you take the race out of the equation, we are talking nothing more than a customer mistreated a provider. No more, no less. Shame on him and unfortunitely it does happen in this business.

We should all just move on and just be blessed that we have a good thing going here in Victoria. First, this is legal and Victoria is generally a very safe place for all of us. We have some of the most beautiful providers and some of the sweetest gentlemen here. Let's just keep this going.

Well, I obviously took your post a different way. My apologies if I misrepresented your argument. At any rate, it would appear that you and I disagree, but that's life....

Again, I'll say the same thing to you that I said to d5k1, we'll agree to disagree. ;) It would seem to me you and I have different opinions on the "free will" issue, as I don't think it's quite as simple as "take responsibility for our own actions and quit blaming our economic-social-political-cultural-ethnic-racial-gender-sexuall orientation-religious situation".

At any rate though, I think you are picking on a minor part of my post. My point really was that just because you see some member of an ethnic group behave a certain way, does NOT mean that all members of that ethnic group behave that way. I think we'd agree on that, perhaps not though.

Anyhow, I think I, like many others, are just about ready to put this thread behind them....

" I've noticed a visible trend for asian men to treat women less well than I would expect (with my whitebread mother-dominant upbringing). I see east indian guy treat women REALLY bad. And its totaly different than how a white guywould/will treat her horribly. "

You just don't get it, do you? What you wrote there IS racism in the sense that you are attributing identical characteristics to millions or billions of people based on a few that you observed. I have met plenty of nice people of all "races" and plenty of a-holes of all races too. It means nothing.

Brown Sugar: you are missing the subtle psychology involved in stereotyping. If a black person does something that you disapprove of, you being black yourself are unlikely to say or think "all black people are like that." Conversely, when you see an asian with a smaller than average dick (say, for example), the stereotype is already embedded in your mind and you think..."all asian men have small penises." So... the key is not to throw up your arms and say "we all do it" - it is to oversome it for the simple reason that you understand it!!

O.K., what the heck does "oversome it" mean?

Secondly, racism and racist remarks are bad, we all know that. This is an escort review board, and this topic has been beaten to death. For those of you who don't think so, check out the link at RobBc's initial post. This topic should be moved to the lounge area because, as important as it is, it is not a review.

Let's move on to the good stuff....pooning!!!

that's funny.. one of my first clients said in an email... I don't have it so this is a rough quote, but he said something along the lines of, 'I'm asian, you know asians have small penises, right?'

I thought this was funny that HE had said it. He was the first asain man I was with and since meeting him I have found his comment to be WRONG WRONG WRONG.. I have met quite a few asian SCHLONGS since working..

Keep 'em cummmin' boys! ;)

There's only 2 types of people that I hate in this world... people who are intolerant of others (and their differences) and the Dutch.

Just kidding... the Dutch are cool :)

Now that I've lightened the levity of this conversation, let me add something serious.

Racist people, regardless of ethnic origin... need to be b!tch slapped. If everyone just turns their backs on anyone who is racist, maybe we can stamp out these scum.

I had a quick boo at all that drama on the other thread and my conclusion is they both came out like WOTS. Lexi seems to have all the mileage of a old skool V8 Camaro, barely make it around the block and it's already asking for more money for gas, and that cristal chick just seems to stick her foot in her mouth whenever she opens it.

One more thing....whats wrong with the Lexi chick, can't she use a computer?!?!? Why is the cristal chick doing all the message postig when really it has fukk all to do with her.

First of all, size doesn't matter as long as you get off somehow.

Secondly, some clients can be jerks and sometimes they will make comments on this board without thinking about the SP's feelings.

Thirdly, SP's are in a business and as good business people they have to provide a product and some goodwill. Too much bad goodwill can be disastrous to your business.

Fourthly, some SP's can't stand a critical review. Hell who can?

Fifthly (is that a word), chalk this up as a learning experience and move on.

Will VE lose some clients? Maybe, but then time will heal all wounds.

Live and Learn

The (poor) girl makes a comment and all HELL breaks lose. Racism is a "touchy" subject, it always has been and probably always will be. I'm sure the girl(Cristal) realizes, hopefully by now, she did wrong by her comment. I think, but that's jus' my 2 cents, Cris has been "bashed" enough and someone should really put a stop to it all. This a topic that is near & dear to us all and no matter what we say or do, racism will always be an issue. Everyone makes mistakes and we also learn from them. Do you think we can get back to the purpose of PERB? wink, wiink

Re: Live and Learn

Just some thoughts...

Racism is an issue that will always be around as long as there are races. There is really no need to avoid it, hide it, or be sensitive and poly-tit-kali correct about it.

Differences will always exist, for otherwise the world would be dull.

We can't expect all to embrace and celebrate those differences. It IS impossible. That's perfectly all right, since we are different after all. However, at the very least, diversity should be at least tolerated. It means one doesn't pull out a rifle and shoot another when racism is acted upon. But it doesn't mean that everyone should be forced to learn or accept other cultures/races/whatever, either. People who don't like certain races can dissociate themselves from those groups. It's their freedom.

What should be done when these people start good/bad-mouthing/stereotyping another race? This is relatively harmless (compared to a bullet). Simply return the favour. Laugh it off. If people make a big deal out of it, perhaps they place too much importance on race and maybe they should contemplate on the fact that it is but one tiny facet of life. Getting all riled up? Save it for a session and let the SP transform it into an explosive experience (;. There will not be victimizers if no one is willing to be a victim.

I am sure there are many those who had experienced racism firsthand. But what are they going to do? Be stuck in the victimhood forever? Please, accept, learn from, and grow out of the experiences or stop complaning. Only they can get over it and pull themselves out of it.

P.S. I would admire those SPs who *honestly* advertise which types of clients they prefer (not) to see. Being honest up front can prevent undesired outcomes. Don't be afraid of being accused of anything. That is simply personal preference, and we all have it.

In a nice wet pussy!
Racism is highly subjective!

Racism is for some thus:

1. "a nudge-nudge-wink-wink", for others...
2. "intolerance",
3. "insensitivity",
4. "overt or covert hatred", ad nauseam...
5. I'd like to add "ignorance" here, but in this society, we should know better.

To pretend it doesn't exist is blind, to ignore it is shameful...

It happens here in Canada against most non-whites; similarly in Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas against most foreigners, whether white or not, by locals or ex-pats alike, and is often driven by economic, ethnic, political, religious, cultural or academic circumstances. Its roots reach back to our pri-mordial origins and will always be with us in spite of our best efforts to stem its pervasive presence.

Trying to boycott any establishments that exhibit any perceived intolerance is futile at best. If you are shocked or surprised about any hint of racism in here, you should spend five minutes in the staff waiting rooms of any Massage or Escort establishments. The racist slurs in there about genital size - large or small, body odour, style, headress or any other factor that differentiates any one race or cultural entity from any other cuts both ways - no race is spared as denigration even extends towards one's own kind. Almost every lady of any nationality I have ever been with will spill, as soon as the slight mention of another race is brought forward in conversation. Men are no different!

Sadly, that is the real world we live in...

Can we change it? Well that's a very old question; we can only keep trying...

If this is news to you, then you truly are a virgin!

In the end, we are ALL guilty of racial intolerance in one form or another, at some point in our lives. For you, who have risen above this, be ever so tolerant of those you have "perceived" to have not.

Let he/she who is not, cast the first stone...
