Howdy everyone-I'm going to be visiting your great city from July 2-5 & am staying in the 2100 block of E. 10th Ave. Are there any providers, spas, etc. within walking distance where I could get to them for a quick disappearance from the SO for a short while.

Also I'll be attending the Canada Cup of Beer Festival on July 4 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium. Anyone been who can say what its like? Of course, when there is beer what's not to like & after a few it doesn't really matter anyway. Just like to get some impressions of it.

Any help, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You'll be about a 15-minute walk from the Broadway Skytrain station, so I'd say you were 1/2-hour away from "microtown" at Joyce station. Even for a quickie, you'd still be gone a good 90-minutes.

90 minutes doesn't really present a problem. Just what is "microtown" & how do I locate fun activites there? Thanks.
