Pretty much every game is sold out. Tickets brokers / scalpers may be your only bet unless you have very good friends that have season tixs. I've used showtime before and they were reliable.

Yeah, I think going to Showtime even though they are pricey might be the best option, speaking of Canucks season Tix, there is still a waiting list I believe they are capped @ 17,000 and that only leaves 1,863 tix available to the general public.

And those 1,800 tickets are probably in the nose bleeds in the corner.

There are single tix left through ticketmaster for very few games, also on a side note it's also intresting that the Vancouver Canucks just so happened to put the Florida Panthers game on Jan 7th on PPV instead of free tv, even though the game is sold out. Sunday Jan 7th will be NFL Wild Card Playoffs, so I'll probably won't even bother watching the Canucks game on PPV vs Florida.

I think it would make it a long party day with Football in the day & hockey at night. The pubs will be very busy.

As for hockey tickets, as a season ticket holder, I was able to snag some extra tickets for some of the games before they go on sale to the general public. Since there is 1630 tickets not sold as season tickets, there is probably a lot less than that when they go on sale to the public. Probably, mostly singles.

Unfortunately, none of my tickets are for sale.

The Canucks have to hold back a certain amount of tickets for league purposes...ie visiting teams....so you have 2 choices...buy now from a scalper (or ticket broker to be polite), or gamble that there may be some tickets released on the day of the game.

The Vancouver Canucks do release some tix on game day @ around 2pm, for most of their games, I'll probably buy the Carolina Hurricanes game Friday Dec 8th through a scalper.

I have tried to use Showtime a couple of times before and walked out of the office both times. They are a rip-off. The dudes that sell Tix at the corner of Goergia and Beatty have better deals.

Craigslist is also a great way to buy.

Also the next time you buy from a scalper, get his card. A good scalper is an important thing to have.

Deals to be found..

I was looking on Ebay Saturday for Edmonton Oiler Tickets, and almost bought two for the Sept. 30th game, against Vancouver in Vancouver... I don't know the facility, but they (2 seats) were in Section 117 and Row 4.. They were advertised as behind the Canuck bench, near the hallway to the back.. They were going for a total of $175 USD, to the last minute.. Rechecking I found that the venue was Van, so I opted out, as I am in Edmonton.. Not sure how that price compares to your local options...
