If you didn't go, you missed out on a tremendous production.
DLR is still fit and still belt out the tunes. You still can't keep up to EVH's fingers either.

Scalped row 1 just outside the "inner circle" and enjoyed the whole concert.
Couldn't believe it was over so soon.

Speaking of inner circle, I think those folks got crouded pretty good and it looked like there was more steroided security people in there than concert goers.

That has to be the gayest thing I've ever read on these boards.
BWAHHHAHAHAAA!! Awesome.

Glad you had fun. But if this was the best show you ever saw, is it safe to say that you don't see all that many concerts? I love VH from backinthaday but I can't imagine they would be THAT great at 50. But if you say so!

Granted, I know I might have to wait a while for that.
So then tell us BIG MAN, what was so great about Michael Anthony? Because if you've been seeing VH for as long as you say you have been then you must have plenty to say about the subject. I always love to hear what you have to say about all the wonderful things you know. It's so evident in all your useful one-line posts. That usually have nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Van Halen is a hair-band dude. They are glam-rockers and nothing more. They made a couple of excellent anthems and stadium tunes but they are certianly not at the top of Rock n' Roll history. They went through 3 front men and came back to the best they ever had. The most entertaining of them all, Diamond Dave. And he would be the first so say that he is a Showman. An Entertainer. Not a skilled or trained Singer. He jumps around on stage with tights on and make big titted blonde girls scream in their panties. Eddie Van Halen is an incredible guitar player but not a front man. His skills were strong enough to keep stoned long-haired dudes buying their records because HE had some talent. Michael Anthony was a talentless but consistent bass-player who never caused any shit, and never tried to take the spotlight so he got to stick around. He was practically the "Ringo" of the band.

And the fact that you even bought a ticket, let alone went to see VH multiple times when Sammy Hagar was the Frontman, tells me a lot about your musical knowledge. Because he was the biggest pussy Rock n' Roll ever spat out. After that dude from the band EXTREME. Or did you go see VH with him too?

For the record folks, I never sent HubbaHubba a PM stating that I thought he may or may not be GBM. Not sure why he says I did. Thank you.

I have seen a lot of rock shows and I'd rate last nights Van Halen show as second only to Pink Floyd on the Momentary Lapse Of Reason tour in my personal experience. Recent highlights were VH, The Scorpions and Queen with Paul Rodgers.

As for Mike Anthony: He's a good bass player but so what? Wolfgang did all right. (Damn good for his age and experience!)

But hey, this is about having fun: I know I did.Cheers! WS.

Yes it was and I will explain again why.

Hubba Hubba registers in October 2004 and doesnt post at all for 3 1/2 years. In August 2007 GBM makes his last post on PERB before being banned or whatever then 2 weeks later in September for some reason Hubba Hubba is posting up a storm, over 800 posts in three months. What opened the posting floodgates all of a sudden after such a long hibernation?

Yes its a bit of a different posting personality but that doesnt mean that hes not trying to hide who he actually is. Every once in a while(actually quite often) the arrogance comes out. GBM was one poster who seemed to be prone to defend CLM and in her last thread where she was making a total fool of herself Hubba Hubba was in there trying to shut it down.

And of course no reviews despite all the posts ala GBM.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
i don't have a strong opinion on this one way or the other...

i just wanted to say i am impressed by ferris bueller's attention to detail...

for the record i have always found the hubsters arrogance and sarcasm endearing...

I doubt it.
GBM actually did post a few reviews. Do a search of "threads started by".
GBM is also actively posting on another board in his usual verbose style.

HH is the king of the one-liners, something GBM is never able to do (keep posts short and to the point.)

Back on topic:

Van Halen was farking awesome. Energetic and having fun. A nice touch was a 50' wide high-def screen above/behind the stage so you could see the fingers flying!

The only downside was they were too loud, as is normal for rockers.
