So with talk in other threads about Valentines Day...

Are there any pooners who will spend part of the day/night with an sp?

If not... will you spend it with a g/f, S/O, etc?

What about the ladies? Do you work on this day/night?

After that chilli you'll be doing us all a favour to be spending the evening alone, atleast till it comes out the other end!! ;)

PS: if it's a good one don't forget to post it on ratemypoo.com

Oddly enough, I might be heading out of town on the Valentine weekend to attend a friend's funeral. Otherwise, a session with my favorite SP on Valentine's Day would not be out of the question. I'd buy her some lingerie too to mark the occasion.

I do agree with the cynical take on Valentines Day being an overly commercialized holoday (and like you've all said what holiday isn't). The other reason I've never liked Valentines Day is that you hear all this stuff about romance, cupid, etc, but I've always been alone on Valentines Day (and every other day for that matter!) and this day just adds to that loneliness. So this year I'm planning on seeing my favourite SP also. And experiences with her are very passionate and " real " that at least this year I'll be in the midst of some romance on Valentines Day. And Wolverine I was also planning on buying some lingerie to mark the occassion also. She already has plenty of beautiful lingerie items in her wardrobe but I'm sure I'll be able to find something nice to add to that wonderful collection.

Valentine Day...I agree with you Bobbi...IMHO, it's just a day made up by big biz so you can spend, spend, spend money. Also, if it ain't a holiday, who gives a hoot. grump, grump...LOL!

Sans girlfriend, Valentine's day is just another day for the most part.

With a girlfriend, it's the ultimate day to stack up on brownie points for very little effort/money.:)

I imagine with a wife it'd be the time to go all out so all my past natural male ineptness in relationships is forgive. Well, at least that's what my father always taught me. (He never was quite so... polite in explaining though) :)

BTW, I was married to a florist for a long time. After sending out several hundred dozen roses on V-Day (not to mention all the other flowers), I was certainly not in a position to get away with showing up with flowers. Diamonds are a girl's best friend.

Yup that would be ME..I love being Romantic..I like trying to be that way all year long. Valentines Day may be commercialized but as has been mentioned earlier so are ALL of the Holidays. To me it's all in how we keep the spirit of the day itself..I like to make a lady feel special and appreciated. As that to me is as it should be. Sound corny? that's just me I guess :p

Thanks for The Wonderful ;)

You just missed it
Feb 14 is like any other day for me when I am single but when I am in a relationship it is quite special. This year, being single again, I was considering visiting a SP on that special day. The only thing now is do I bring the SP a gift to make it an extra special experience? Would a SP think that I was weird to bring flowers or anything like that.

actually I think it's kewl to bring flowers and sometimes gifts depending on the situation and the sp ofcourse. As for Flowers I don't think the ladies mind them as they show that they are appreciated. As for any other type of gift I don't normally do it until I've seen the lady a few times and have talked it over with her to see if it is ok to do so. Hopefully you can get some feedback from the gals here on the board. hope you have fun on that day..:p ;)

How I Spend Valentine's Day...

((notice NOT italics *w*))

I spend the day... Setting up the environment... for those "anti-romantics" to spoil them w/a GFE of romanticism... Candlelight... Scented candles... Accompanied shower w/more candlelight... Scented oils... Scented sheets... My favorite massage cream (vanilla), chocolate treats... & Cuddling... & Every requested time... gets an extra 30 minutes... It is my day to be the Pampering Valentine for everyone's secret desire... of romanticism... But of course y'all are non-romantics LOL!!

I let my romanticism... Burst forth...

**carlotta**

& I appreciatte the thank you's my regulars bring by of scented candles, my favorite perfume... (jovan musk or stetson)... Or Vanilla candles or massage cream...

I look at Valentine's Day as a Day of Appreciation... "You are Wonderful -- To Me Day!!!!

I don't dislike Valentines Day because I'm an anti-romantic. The main reason is that I've always been alone on Valentines Day but everyone else seems to be in love or in relationships. However, Carlotta it sounds like your Valentines Day plans would cure me and a lot of others of our dislike for that day. I think quite a few of us could use an experience like that this Feb 14th (or any other day for that matter!).

Day Off

I will be spending it with my other half. The day is over-rated, but the significance is huge. If I were not involved, Feb.14 would be no different than any other day.
