How do you use translator app during a session with a SP? Do you just pause to type/record and then wait for it to translate? Any recommended apps besides google translate?

Tried looking around the forum but I did not see any or probably too far that I can't see it using the search bar. lol.

Just wondering as I'm trying to imagine how it will go down if I meet a SP who has little to no understanding of English.

An asian SP I see occasionally has a Chinese/English translator separate from her phone and just about the same size. It takes speech or text in English and speaks displays text in Chinese. Vice/Versa. Excellent device for her. The problem is she relies on it, and has not learned much English in her number of years in Canada. My guess she bought this in Taiwan.

I don't like the Google translator, but usually most Asian SP's without much English have one on their phones they rely on.

Calling a girl a “Chicken” in Chinese is also a negative slang that means prostitute So be careful not to call her a chick might not translate well

Aliexpress has translation earbuds you can use. One earbud for you and one earbud for the girl. Instant translation from say English to Mandarin. I would suggest you clean the earbuds after use for the next person. No violent actions or they might fall off.
