Sorry I just cannot understand your position, economically Canada is not even on the same planet as the US. The country is only a sex tourism destination, nothing else. Is Manitoba some type of animal? Seriously, most of the world doesn’t think twice about Canada, it is in the same category as Tunis, in the big scheme of things, it doesn’t matter. Like most of the EU, the economy in Canada will collapse without the United States. I fully expect deals to be made with very little public acknowledge….until budget time, when it will become obvious. The only way Trump can exempt Social Security and tips from taxes is to come up with another revenue stream. The same is true regarding the reduction of income taxes, he must get the money someplace. He promised to make “fair trade agreements“, “bring back manufacturing jobs” and either pull out of NATO, or make every country pay 2%. All three will have a profound impact on Canada, the EU, Japan, Mexico and many other countries. Trump thinks about dollars and cents, as he should, he is a business man, not a politician. Trump does not have to sit around hold hands and sing Kumbaya. IMO, that’s the best part, he can never be President again, which is the reason corrupt politicians did everything possible to prevent his return. If the sheep herders in Gaza releases the hostages before Trump takes office, that will increase his standing even higher. If they don’t, I trust Trump will follow thru with his threat. As for the socialist POS Trudeau working behind the scenes, he is just shopping for vaseline and practicing to relax his sphincter muscle. Time will tell, but I think the next four years will be great for America.

The U.S. produced a record 12.9 million bbls of oil per day in 2023 under Joe Biden. Exports are light crude and petroleum products, heavier grades of crude are imported at lower prices. Crude consumption averaged nearly 19 million bbls per day in 2023 a shortfall of nearly 6 million barrels per day.
ANWR is just one area that may see more oil and gas development and fewer restrictions in the second Trump administration.

American Petroleum Institute (API) president and chief executive officer Mike Sommers congratulated Trump on his election victory. “Energy was on the ballot, and voters sent a clear signal that they want choices, not mandates, and an all-of-the-above approach that harnesses our nation’s resources and builds on the successes of his first term.”

Charlie Riedl, executive director of the Center for LNG, said his association would work with the Trump administration to lift the Department of Energy’s pause on LNG export permits. “As global energy demand continues to grow, US LNG exports will play a critical role in ensuring the United States remains a global energy powerhouse," he said.

Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) president and chief executive officer Jeff Eshelman said he “appreciates President Trump’s commitment to energy leadership and security.”

Trumps gonna make us throw hand sandwiches and burn the WH down *again*. Lets send Diaper D a special Big Mac, hopefuly the one that causes an anyurism.

Time to push for blue state succession and stop the red state subsidies. They're not able to handle their finances correctly, and the lack of responsibility is making them infantile.

Also what is the PooEs going to do, invade? They've lost every war they've been in over the long haul for close to century now. Its almost as if the US military was a giant scam to provide welfare to substandard arms manufacturers or something.

Oh by the way ... paragraphs!!!
Otherwise most people read the first dozen of the lines and skip the rest . Just to save me and others the torture

Yes in your eyes we are your puny neighbour to the North that you like to try teasing on a Canadian website paid for by Canadian advertisers and Canadian ladies. Friends call that trolling ... I call that a waste of time as you won't convince us ( Canadian majority) of our insignificance.

Yep Canada that was invited by the US to join the G7 because of our influence, reputation and percentage of the economy coming to play in a tug of influence between the US and Europe at the IMF and World Bank . Europe wanting Italy in and the US wanting Canada for our sexy calves and sultry blue eyes.

Yep now time to tap on the ignore button to skip the troll . Thank you for the entertainment and laughs at the maga stereotypes and rhetoric

I'm new here but I'm a bit surprised by the number of people who stamp their feet and yell troll when someone doesn't agree with them. That tells me that either you have nothing constructive to say or maybe you're just lazy. If you're in love with the sound of your own voice, by all means press the ignore button. That way you can be sure that you'll never learn anything new. They say that ignorance is bliss. One last observation, what is the obsession with wether or not things are double spaced, in paragraphs or whatever?
Considering some of the crazy content on here, I think form and sentence structure should be the least of your worries.

Makes it easier to read but if it’s all bullshit doesn’t really matter.

In my case if someone keeps talking about the same point over and over again, keep using wrong stats to make a point , use stereotypes constantly, use prejudices too often, talks in anyway in absolutes to counter an argument or arguments unless its a widely accepted fact ; I'll give that person some leeway for a little while but when its a constant modus operandi I push the ignore button once recognized as a troll.

As for the paragraph stuff ..... I'm French Canadian , started writing in English in my 30s , use french grammar rules as a cue ( rightly or wrongly at times ) , make a bunch of mistakes constantly when writing in English ; I'm definitely not as eloquent because of it . And even me with my lack of grammar and English vocabulary can perceive the laziness behind the lack of organized grammar and/or thoughts . Effort becomes a two way street

If you actually read the comments others made you see why they 'stomp their feet'.

Some folks just like to say 'I'm very important, so my opinion matters more than others and know all, blah blah blah, three word slogan, blag blah blah and heres why youre an idiot if you dont listen. Also your country is third rate, and look at what i own'

Reasonable people say 'I dont like like x or I like Y and here is the reason. Have a good day sir'

Can you spot the difference? One is maybe worth engaging in coversation on a public forum, the other is a waste of time and simply should be ignored as the troll they are.

Once in a while things get a bit heated and even the best of us falls prey ro our inner deamons and becomes the troll, but it really shouldnt be something you lead with. As you say, if you're not willing to accept benign and non slandering critisim then maybe one should not post their opinion on public board.

Bit im not a Mod, just a perbite with access to an ignore button.

To those that do not invest in the stock market, you’re idiots and hit the block button. For those that do, today Powell announced fewer rate cuts in 2025, than previously promised and the market took a dive. What changed between today and before the election? Clue, election interference! Powell promised the cuts to boost Bidenomics, which is a complete failure. Anyone with half a brain knows the price of eggs, however some bought into the BS. The liberals released a budget yesterday to fund the government another 3 months…over 1500 pages. Mike Johnson was and still may, allow it to pass….without reading the contents. He does not want to stir the pot. Trump and Musk are against it. They have zero to lose, shut down the damn government. Like the FBI/DOJ, Powell is part of the deep state, which is corrupt as the day is long. None of the rocket scientist on this platform thought to ask me why I am a duel citizen. As Forrest Gump said, stupid is as stupid does! However, I will give you a hint. For my business to do business for the Parliament, it was required. The United States government is a deep state and many are corrupt. My experience taught me, although to a lesser extent, Canada is no different. Government corruption is not good for the people, which is a primary reason Trump kicked ass! Sorry, I am used to legal documents that are not written with paragraphs.

I’m a troll, really? Canada is a nation with false pride! Please tell the world your government is not an embarrassment!

Merriam-Webster's definition of an internet troll: "a person who intentionally antagonizes others online by posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments or other disruptive content".

You question that you're a troll and then troll in the next sentence. Wow.
