I still have hope that the Americans will do the right thing i guess . Even Iowa might be turning blue which would be a first in 8 years . Not that many electoral votes but everything would help .

Crossing fingers the 600 000 Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania turn in force .

We have to keep in mind that trump needs to win at least one more state than Harris to get to 270 electoral votes . Tall order in such a tight race .

A tie is always possible...lol. Sadly with the extremist groups they have on the right it would be a scary scenario since they have been fed lies for years and bought them all so far .

Urban & middle class vs rich & country . Hopefully the middle swings the logical way

The ramifications of a Social Security default and getting rid of Obamacare will have a drastic impact on Trump's voters. It is the height of irony that they are voting to doom themselves.

For the maga crowd logical thinking is not their forte ... vast majority of them anyhow. Sad to see the sad state of their education system has reached a breaking point with a race to the bottom. They went from being a standard from the late 1800 to 4 to 5 decades ago and now to this .

Vance is the real candidate.

Well, the season finale of the shit-show (and the term was never more appropriate) is on TV now. 💩

Sanity and some vague sense of conscience has me wanting Trump and his whole Project 2025 agenda to get flushed down the bowl once and for all.

On the other hand, there is part of me that wishes doom and destruction on the political system down there, for having spawned the political equivalent of the Black Plague at all. Trump may be an terminal-stage symptom, but is not the origin of the disease.

So time to watch the world's most overhyped coin-flip. 💣

-900 and under 15 percent chance to win for Harris now, if the Dems can beat those odds with a midnight ballot backdoor push my hat is off to them.
Will they need to cover up the windows this time?

Trump is heading for the win. Harris is heading for the loss.

Through 2024, so many posts on the USA Political Thread were about Trump bashing, Orange Turd pile-on, and condemnation of all his many indiscretions and transgressions. Justly deserved by Canadian values, and assumedly so by the millions of people south of the boarder we consider global allies.

Yet the yanks are voting him in.

Again.

So what is it about the American electorate that we North-of-the-Border peanut gallery spouters clearly do not understand?

Do we not know our neighbours better than this? Time for some calm introspection imho.
