'How the country is being run' is a pretty open ended question as well, if you compare to ' how the current adminstration is doing' or 'who do you like better , republicans or democrats?'.
I mean, I don't like how the US (or Canada) is run, but it doesnt mean ill vote RepubliCon.

The difference between democracy and autocracy is in democracy, the country is run from bottom up, by the people. That's seems to be a good thing but when you have a country like the US, that's so polarized and divided, there is going to be chaos. But what causes this? It's the media from the right and from the left. No news outlets are reporting anymore but are just giving their opinions. It's a very powerful tool. As for lack of respect, when I started posting on here it seemed that virtually every poster supporting Democrats started off their posts with incoherent anti Trump and Trump supporter rants including the Forum mod in his one interjection. I dont really see the opposite being true from these few posters on here willing to buck the trend on this board.
On most issues your initial statement is true. American politics ...in particular when it comes to Trump..it is not and I speak from personal experience. As you are awash in a bastion of Liberalism I do not expect you to ever understand that.

There is nothing wrong in trying to be a good person.
