Practicaly , shutting everything down for two weeks would have been better in all ways than the 2 years drawn out 'muh freedoms' bs response we had. Economically, socially, and health outcomes. Even the anti-vaxers could have gotten on board.

Because expecting the entire world to lock itself in its houses and stay there for two weeks IS dumb...and authoritarian..aside from being impossible. Nobody is getting on board with that. What if TRUMP had suggested it. Would you think that was a great idea? Would you volunteer to lock yourself in your house for two weeks under a Trump Presidency? This is the litmus test.
If it's literally your utopia, then move there.
Why are you hell-bent on re-litigating Covid. Granted, "the best place to live" is subjective; however, rarely is letting your mind live in the past a good place to stay/live. Moving on is at times a healthy mindset to have - you should perhaps give that a try.

As far as "reproductive choices", I have a couple of pro tips for you.
Have you heard of birth control?

If you do become pregnant and you want to "terminate your pregnancy" (have an abortion) you can hop a bus and visit one of the states where they would be happy to take care of your little problem.

In the face of an unknown pandemic, yes easily. I basically did that anyways. It wouldnt matter if it was Trump or Ronald McDonald. But instead people started complaining about loosing money so they had to get all those essential barristas back in the shop and the thing lasted two fucking years with millions of deaths.
When did i say it was my Utopia. I corrected the false claim that China was Communist and that all socialist soceities are authoratarian and devolve into fascist state.
In terms of Covid, im not set on re-litigating more than learning a lesson. Pandemics were warned about, came, and we were found lacking. Theyll come again and worse. If it takes two weeks at home to beat it, seems like a good low cost solution with far fewer deaths. Bit no, lets stick our heads in the sand sounds about right wing.
