Oh, I get it. I need to support parents who are not capable of talking and guiding their children by supporting a beast. Having that beast around probably encourages the kids to go for that affirmation.
My daughter went to a strict Catholic school where they were anti-everything. Guess what. The rates of kids going for gender 'affirmation' is higher than in my son's public high school. Jeez, so many of the parents out there are so toxic and pathetic especially at that Catholic school, it seems they almost drive their kids into gender affirmation. I don't support gender affirmation but it is also none of my business. Meet there parents and understand that they are probably the reason their kids are mixed up.
And for the record, my kids are boring, plain kids who are not questioning their gender. And if they did, I would be talking to them, not supporting people out to humiliate and harm them.

When they make it as law in dems states, there is no scope of talking through it. Kids learn in public schools that parents must go along with all whims and fancies and its a law.
Moreover parents see real world practise, how it is getting handled in Florida as opposed to California, it even makes their support to Trump stronger.

From what I have seen is that many of these kids are neglected by their parents, feel somehow rejected by them and communications break down. And then yes, they might become vulnerable. But they become vulnerable to all sorts - in your mind trans or gay, in other people they see pedophiles like Matt Gaetz trying to take advantage of their teens. The best protection for the kids is decent parents who talk to them.
