The excerpt said that Trump sent COVID-19 test kits to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal use with instructions not to tell anyone. then they should stop you from inhaling them too

So you mean to say people died with Covid but actually didn’t died from Covid? But the common denominator is covid. My father in law was suffering from pneumonia and was on his way to recovery. Then he got Covid. He died from the complications. So what you are trying to say is Covid got nothing to do with it? Correct? Masks don't prevent Covid, they lower the risk of spreading Covid. That's like saying you only need brakes on your car if you're the one headed into the intersection. Everyone needs to lower the risk so that the overall risk level is reduced and it cannot spread as quickly or as widely as it might otherwise. Covid was not a pandemic because of it's high mortality rate, it was a pandemic because of high easily and quickly it could be spread.

If you have the Covid shot, and you still get Covid the effects are reduced.. you are less likely to cough which causes the germs to spread more effectively. You're right it's primarily for you.. but not entirely. Again.. the point is to reduce and slow the spread so that it is manageable

what about the other $4.5 trillion in the US budget being spent elsewhere while FEMA needs more money? why is money for foreign non-christian brown people being singled out?

Government 101

Budget allocation as you might have heard the words before. The executive can only spend what the legislative ( congress ) allocates to them with strings attached.

So congress ( Republican run ) allocated a budget for foreign aid which the president (Biden Democrat ) can spend it under certain perimeters.
On the other hand the congress ( Republican run ) allocated a certain amount for FEMA to spend under certain perimeters, the direction of FEMA has to cover more than what congress budgeted , Biden on the other hand can not override congress as they have always controlled the purse in the US . The direction at FEMA warned of the budget shortfall 3 months ago .

So if you have frustration about the money allocated ....i would take it to the congress. And i would raise hell if i were you .

The management issues can be dealt with once the rescue and primary needs of the people have been met.
