Yes it is. They are not the same things. Democrats are blaming Republicans for causing a tragedy. Republicans are blaming Democrats for spreading misinformation that they caused a tragedy to politicize it. They are not blaming Democrats for causing a tragedy.

This whole thread has been republicans AND democrats spreading misinformation. Both sides are absolutely guilty of spreading misinformation. Which is silly because there’s enough shitty things that Trump has done that there’s no need to not stick to the facts.

Well well well... Republicans receiving the undeserved responsability of a tragedy. It must feel funny for them to be on the receiving end of those speculations after 4 years of dumping on the other side .

It is never right to pin blame when there's so much evidence to look at to find what went wrong . We will really know in months from now where the miscommunication occured.

Im sure in the meantime that every county, parish, State and city will pay attention next time the nws or noaa send warnings and will use proper emergency cell phone messages through regular system or apps as well as send troops ( troopers, sheriffs and officers ) in remote areas where cell phone coverage is lacking...no matter the time of day or night they get the alert.

Well we already know that the initial accusations were false as proven by the weather bureau....and as for dumping on the other side....yes it did happen. but....

Democrats were not blamed for the tragedy itself and called ghouls....they were blamed mainly for their response. EG the California Wildfires when they found out that the water reservoirs were not filled or when North Carolinans were left in the cold for months following the hurricane with little to no Government assistance in its wake.....or East Palestine when the only way that Biden was forced to visit the site was when Trump forced his hand and preceded him...and when Biden was falling asleep during his very late visit to the site of the tragic Lahaina fire on Maui and his initial response when he heard of the fire while riding his bicycle was to basically ignore it.

As for those who died they probably just ignored the warnings at 2am thinking it would be just another false alarm or slept through it.. luckily most people did listen and got to higher ground Had this been any other time of the day its highly unlikely there would have been any deaths.

With a 1degree increase in temperature; the water vapour the air can hold goes up. Causing more flash floods, with more water when it rains.

Also the land can only absorb so much water. It helps to build more water catchment sites (shallow ditches) over land, but everyone perfers straight roads and rivers and flater land. Nature works it best, but when a man decides he wants a flater lawn, he fucks up natures plan.

In WW2 when the allies were invading Normady, the planners forgot about the hedges. Rocks from farms piled by roads, trees grown for windbreaks made it almost impossible to tranverse the countryside in Normandy...

Problem is ...it will never bring back those young girls , kids and people who died last week in Texas . Like most natural disaster man comes to realize how insignificant we are when facing nature .

If no commission, coroner report or investigation is put in place to find out the cracks in the system...then blame should be assigned. Im not talking to assign the blame to someone specific unless gross negligence is found but something to correct the departments and agencies in charge .

On our side of the border ...we should pay attention to learn from it

And the lunacy spreads, 6 members of congress have registered a complaint to the Canadian government about the smoke from the wildfires in MB ruining the summer recreational activities in MN and WI. I’ll bet all those people who lost their homes or spent weeks in an evacuation centre are just heartbroken about that.

Jump the gun ...we will see . Not the best timing maybe. But the more stories that keep coming out and they seem to keep fueling anger from people of the area and give ammunition to the Democrats for months to come .

But I remember in September of last year when the floods in the Smokey mountains following hurricane Helen watching lies galore and the outrage milking mode in overdrive to bash FEMA and Biden on Fox "news" as well as Republicans drumming loudly about inefficiency ....in areas reachable by one road and one road only....as I said the pendulum swing both ways .

Surprising fact I heard today is that Kerrville refuse an early warning flood system that would have come from the infrastructure package Biden passed years ago . Reason given to refuse the system was that supposedly since it was a Democratic program they did not want it contrary to all their neighbouring municipalities. Shit show
