It seems that the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), whose membership includes Pfizer, Merck, Novavax, Vaxcyte, and hundreds of biotech firms that profit from regulatory insulation, has a mole.

Given Kennedy’s demand for restored liability, long-term data, and placebo-controlled trials, BIO appears to view Kennedy’s proposals as a threat to the entire shortcut pipeline BIO built under EUA [emergency] conditions.
BIO’s fear is not scientific opposition—it’s that Kennedy’s regulatory scrutiny may render their current profit model obsolete.
BIO officials emphasized a shift in framing—from “protect,” “defend,” and “maintain” to “streamline,” “optimize,” and “enhance.”
But these are not reforms. They read as an attempt at narrative laundering operations. When BIO says “efficiency,” it means fewer safety requirements. When it says “resilience,” it means consumer obedience, not protection from harms from vaccines held to the Kennedy Bar. And when it says “transparency,” it means secretive PR-managed theater, not data disclosure.
This is rhetorical mimicry—a deliberate tactic to adopt the aesthetic of reform while preserving the machinery of capture. This differs from standard PR in that it aims to overwrite language itself: ‘transparency’ is redefined as brand polish; ‘efficiency’ as exemption from oversight—a deliberate attempt to steal the language of biomedical reform while ensuring that no structural reform ever occurs—and no one notices the difference.
If RFK, Jr. maintains or grows his influence through the summer, BIO faces the real possibility that reformist voices could restrict their easy funding pipelines, delay regulatory approvals, or demand hearings that expose industry-government entanglements.

So you guys are fully aware that in fact the weather bureau was overstaffed that night in anticipation of some flooding and storm warnings had been posted over the previous 24 hours. Right? And the cuts in service do not take place until October...right? You are aware that the local authorities had taken a poll several years ago and there were no flood warnings sirens in place because the area residents thought it would cost too much money. Not certain who the ghouls are but it certainly is not who you desperately wish it would be. In your rush to blame everything on Trump you might have wanted to do a bit of fact checking.
Some of the blame could be placed on whoever decided that the middle of a flood plain that has experienced this sort of flooding many times over the last century might be a great place for a childrens camp.
Why is blame required ? Both sides are pointing fingers.....it's a tragic situation. Partisan even in a tragedy. Disgusting is what it is. Of course no one will ever take responsibility even though mistakes do happen.

It’s ridiculous to blame anybody for mother nature’s unpredictability. Lots of things are trumps fault for sure. But let’s stick to the things we absolutely know are his fault like deporting parts of families that have lived and paid taxes in the USA for 30 years. Lying about who he’s deporting. Putting people into concentration camp conditions for extended periods of time. Deporting people who are trying to be here legally and doing everything right. Starting wars with democratic states. Rolling tanks through a California park. His divisive rhetoric, designed to make you hate your neighbor who is different from you. I can go on for days about all the shitty things he’s actually responsible for.

Only one side is pointing fingers buddy. The other one is pointing out how misinformation is being used in a partisan manner to politicize a tragedy.
Both sides have been trying to blame the other side . Conspiracy theorists included.

Yes it is. They are not the same things. Democrats are blaming Republicans for causing a tragedy. Republicans are blaming Democrats for spreading misinformation that they caused a tragedy to politicize it. They are not blaming Democrats for causing a tragedy.
