Hi all. I was just wondering if anyone else has been informed they have to pay a tax to the Hells Angles. I just recieved a text from someone with a Montreal area code telephone number. His text is as follows.

This is Lucky I'm full patch hells angel do you realize your working on out territory without paying us our tax

Its a one time fee of 2000 and you can work here as much as you want and be protected by us if you have any problems

If you don't wish to pay this my guys will have to remove you or you have to leave. This is business nothing personal

Yes I will be sending one of my guys to meet you but you been working on our territory so were not going to wait around

True or scam?

It's complete and utter bullshit. If they continue to threaten you (they being the caller, not the gang itself) report them to the police. Extortion and blackmail is illegal, they expect you to feel shame as a sex worker so that you won't pursue legal avenues.

I don't know any Hell's Angels myself but I highly doubt they give two flying fucks about what independents do in Vancouver when there's never been mention of this scam before.

Definitely start a file with the RCMP Richmond Detachment. Nationally they are after these guys and they will follow up. As a precaution double check the credentials of any new clients.

I received this message a couple weeks ago however the person only said the first part & I proceeded to block their number. I haven't received any other messages since so as the others have said it's a scam or someone trolling etc.

I have some legitimate experience with some legitimately nasty people. 'Full Patch' members don't send threatening texts to independent service providers. At best, perhaps a low ranking striker or prospect might actually SAY something like this to a girl on a street corner. They keep under the radar, and they don't use their phones to make threats, knowing how easy it is for LE to get access to such things. As others have said, this is a scam.
