Ukrainian ladies are not the only ones with horror stories - I've read of nasty ones involving Thais and Filipinas too. The problem with marriage is that once you're married, you're stuck...especially if you're the higher earner. Waaay too much risk IMO. Best thing to do is to retire then live in the country with her. Keep your assets out of her reach until you can trust her.
A few years ago there was a guy at my workplace that married a Russian mail order bride. He eventually committed suicide. There were rumours that she had links to the Russian mob, and that he was being threatened or extorted.
Damn...I just wasted 10 minutes of my life trying to post something about the subject of this thread....

I was hoping to celebrate how fortunate We are in Canada, to have the beautiful Women we're blessed with, from an Ukrainian descent !
Unfortunately, the Celebration pretty much went up in Flames a long Time ago ?
Now that It's morphed into "How not to find a Bride", or "50 Ways, not to find True Love " ? LOL

the first mass wave of immigration from (then Russia) Ukraine happened in 1874-5 from the Mennonite colonies near the Black Sea, to Manitoba with the promise of land and religious/educational freedom and Sask. in the 1890's

Some time ago I met a very pretty young lady at Brandi's Lounge. She called herself Alice and perhaps some of you gents may know her.
She's blond with a very nice body and quite a few tattoo's. As the body art, in my opinion takes away from her beauty....she is still a stunningly gorgeous young lady.
During our conversation she told me of her Ukrainian background, which is rather similar to mine.
