Why is always the morons who defend the war?

Crusades was not about religion or cup of everlasting life, it was about money. The profitable trade routes were controlled by Muslims and the merchants were taxed, so the crusaders wanted their share of the pie.
It was about the money then and it is about the money now. ;)

This whole discussion is very stupid. It's clear to me like black and white! The US is the biggest military power and the biggest enocomy and what is good for the US is good for the rest of the world including Canada and Iraq. Americans won the WW2 to save the world from the Nazis and now we are saving the world from something just as bad maybe worse. And also, comparing Vietnam to Iraq is stupid too. In Iraq are some very bad Muslims and their's is a culture of death (look at how they treat their ladies and they always have to wear black - see literarily "death"). Isn't it ironic that when Christians go to church they always wear white??? That is a culture of life they are celebrating. The facts are so clear you just have to stop arguing it and just look at it with your eyes open and then it will all be plain clear to you.
Well, at least you've called yourself a moron in your handle, and by doing so, have saved us all the trouble.

I believe these posts are SATIRE, emulating the thought processes of his handle. Not so far off, either.

Yeah sure the lefties say the Crusades was a war about money and they say the war in Iraq is a war about oil. These Canukle heads are the most liberal like the whole country was one big blue state (in Canada so many abortions - in other words a culture of death) ! But while it may be true on the one hand the big Truth is that the Crusades was a war between two major religions and WW2 was a war between 2 idealogogies (inslavement by Nazis versus Freedom of the Christian west) and the war in Iraq is a war between religions Muslims (a culture of death) and Christians (a culture of life). Its just ironic that Muslims are sitting on trade paths in the past and now big oil fields isn't it? Yet they are sitting on so much wealth but look they live like beggars cuz it was obviously not meant for them. Don't you see the hand of God its so obvious. Thank God the United States is a Christian country and we have the biggest military and can spread the Word of Jesus and Freedom to the rest of the world and rid it of false prophets!

This coming from a citizen of a country that still has the death penalty and where you can buy guns easier than you can buy weed. So if we are a culture of death, I don't think I can even find the word to describe your culture. Perhaps a culture of morons.

For anybody that cares

Iraq war failed, Americans say

Daily Telegraph

Thursday, June 09, 2005

WASHINGTON -- Most Americans now believe the war in Iraq has not made them safer, an opinion poll found Wednesday.

The rise in violence last month, when 700 Iraqis and 80 U.S. troops were killed, appears to have made a mark at home with the Washington Post/ABC News survey finding that two thirds of Americans believe the U.S. is bogged down in Iraq.

Three quarters of those questioned also said the number of casualties was unacceptable; six in 10 believed the war was not worth fighting and four in 10 saw a parallel with Vietnam.

The Bush administration continues to insist that it is winning and that the insurgency is on its last legs, However, the military is increasingly concerned over the signs of public uncertainty.

For the first time since the invasion, the poll found that 52 per cent of Americans did not believe it had made America safer.

Senator Joe Biden, a leading Democratic supporter of the war, said that if there was not significant progress within a year he doubted he could go on backing the presence of U.S. troops in Iraq.

Jimmy Carter, the former president, Wednesday called for the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention centre and for an end to the U.S. policy of transferring prisoners to countries where they might be tortured.

This would "demonstrate clearly our nation's historic commitment to protect human rights," he said.

I'll answer. Assuming he's guilty, he deserves to be stuck and bled like a pig and fed to other pigs. Fortunately we live in Canada, and he will spend the rest of his (hopefully short) life in prison. For those of you that believe in the God of the Americans, he will fry in hell for eternity.

For those of us that do not believe in the death penalty, we will be satisfied that he will stay in prison until he dies. It's too bad Karla will not --- I wish there was a hell for her.

Before the American invasion of a sovereign nation on a totally trumped up pretext (there never were any WMD's, as the U.S. administration knew full well), the average Iraqi citizen had the reasonable expectation that he could go to a restaurant in Baghdad, have a meal, leave and not be blown to smithereens by a suicide bomber. Such is not the case today. This is progress, American-style, right? *waits patiently for the "you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette" response from some of the brain-washed citizens to the south*

Okay, ittman:

Life gotten.

I do not agree with the death penalty so no he should not be fried. He deserves to rot in isoloation in jail for the rest of his sick pathetic life.

Yours truly,

idle

Solitary confinement:
6x6 concrete room with toilet, bed and sink. Taken to shower 2 times a week. Door is steel with a small window and a flap over it. The flap can only be opened from teh outside. Food comes in to the cell via a slot in the door. Some cells have a small 6 inch high window about 8 feet from the floor. All reading materials approved of before getting into the cell. There might be a small tv set. No computer. Only members of the opposite sex might be a guard or lawyer or cop. Not allowed to do work or earn any money. Once a day allowed out into the courtyard to walk for up to one hour. Courtyard might be all concrete. The overhead light is either always on, or automatically turns off at 8pm and on again at 5am. Most of the time, there are no cells at all nearby. If there are any, cells are spaced a good 10 feet apart. Cells do not face each other. Apparently you can hear the screams of agony of loneliness when in the hallway.

Still way too decent a way to live. Hang 'em high!

Highjacked thread alert!

So there was this Quran thing...the U.S. desecrated it...it was reported...the government moved to hush it up and forced the media to retract the story...at the same time the U.S. tried to pin it on the detainees as doing it themselves...the military then admitted they might of, okay actually did, "mishandle" it...and now all is well. That is until the Muslims unite over it and all hell breaks loose within the U.S. borders. I hope it doesn't but don't be at all surprised if it does.
