Type of head board?

Let me know if this has been done before but what type of head board do you prefer?

One with flats or bars so you or her can hold on for more traction?

No head board?

Just a flat headboard?

No headboard I hate the noise it makes when it is banging against the walls

I love to ride, so something I can hang onto is always nice... Although a handful of a manly chest can also do the trick for moi

I like metal bars however the downside is they can end up being quite loud; squeaking, banging on the wall, etc.

It doesn't matter if it's metal or wood as long as it's solid (re: noisy, bumping into walls, etc.) and its easy to attach things to/hold on to.
If you're looking for options on anchors for restraints, there's a lot of possibilities that doesn't necessarily require a headboard.

I have had five headboards in my life:

(4) Black chain link fencing around padded frame, like the Octagon.

(3) A cork board where I can pin up pictures of my grandma, shopping lists, to-do's, and business cards of random realtors who dropped by.

(2) An aquarium about 6 inches wide that runs the length of the bed.

(1) A wooden carving of Mae West lounging in a horizontal pose.

(1) A macrame and metal montage with painted hub caps and scrap yard paraphernalia.


My shrink says this explains things....but she's not sure what.

Once in Vic years ago, had 5th wheel at west bay & invited sp over
Well if you know trailers, not really a head board, but you do need to watch your head when getting up
she was holding cupboard doors above bed & ripped them off hinges when riding me
