Tryst - Available now button

Due the amount of time it takes to get ready and have an incall available, my understanding is that a majority of SPs prefer prebooking and are thus understandably frustrated by the many “available now?’ messages they receive throughout the day.

I would then recommend that SPs don’t use the “available now” button on tryst unless they are actually ‘available now’. Or at a minimum don’t be indignant when asked if they are available now when they have this button on. If it meant “available now for prebooking” wouldn’t it say that?

Idk.. maybe I take stuff too literal. Btw, are any SPs available now? 😀

You make a couple of good points, however you just might be on the wrong side of this argument to be commenting on advertising etiquette.

With Tryst in particular, the SP really has no other option than "Available Now" to bring there advertisement from being buried on page 20. Most prospective clients will look through maybe up to page 2, before either moving on or choosing to contact one of the ladies on pages 1 - 3. You should also notice that on Tryst, if you choose not to be "Available Now" your ad shows last active, yesterday, 2 days ago, last week and so on. Most prospective clients will read that as unavailable and will not reach out.

I do however agree that if the SP chooses "Available Now", it is their responsibility to understand that clients will reach out expecting that SP to be "Available Now." They should then respond in a courteous and respectful manner, if initially approached with the same respect. But do be aware, clients have also been known to be rude and combative no matter how the SP responds, so there needs to be understanding on both sides.

If you have a better solution, then please offer your proposal. If not, then please do understand why they do what they do. They are trying to earn a living the best way they can with the resources available to them.

To be clear, I am truly empathetic to the plight of the SP and I am in sales also. I don’t knock the hustle. If is this only way to bump their ads to the top, my only suggestion is that tryst remove the feature altogether to avoid this sort of thing from happening.

I think removing altogether is counter productive. Adding another feature as in "Available for Pre-Booking" might be a better course of action.

Haha. Doesn’t matter the industry. My office hours are listed on my email signature and people will call saying I haven’t responded to their email yet. At the end of the day, courtesy and politeness should rule the day. I’ll never understand why people would be rude to someone that they are hoping will handle their goods. Like she will literally have your balls in her hands. 🤣

I know it's a radical idea but perhaps they could list their hours in their ads
The sex workers that I know don't have set hours, but rather see clients by appointment. My schedule is completely different every day and if I don't have any bookings I tend to do something else like go snowboarding or visit family. So that's why we don't list our hours, we work different hours every day, by appointment.

I like Tryst generally, but I will admit it sometimes annoys me with how it fails to sort the ads chronologically. You can go 7 pages back and still find ladies who were active "today".

I have generally ignored the "available" status on Tryst. Or rather, I think of it as a version of "last online = today, just even more today".
I have never tried to use any chat-like functions of Tryst (or LL for that matter).
Mind you, I also am one of those users who never actually signed up for a membership to it. (See the other thread about OnlyFans - I will avoid having memberships to things.)

Like APL16 said, it is very helpful when the ad lists hours / days available, not just general settings but if they put in some text they wrote themselves about their upcoming availability (or unavailability). Hurray for updates.
If I look up an SW's twitter, it's because they more often mention their availability there, rather than in their ad.

That being said, it is a chaotic process, and some SWs have more firm hours than others. I often do not know very far in advance what my own schedule will be, so I understand if I make an inquiry that is spontaneous/short-term/time-sensitive, the odds of availability are lower. Hearing a clear "no" or "not today but ___" is better than nothing at all.

But if something on an ad platform says the words "available now" I would hope that was actually true, not just an indicator of the last time the SW logged on. Flaw in the system I guess, which is why I do not believe the "available" unless I see the SW post it herself. ("Due to last minute cancellation, I have availability today", etc.)
