There have been some notorious shops run by Pimps. That part is true but I'd say the Outlook, WCA and 1122 and similar agencies are all legit.

The ads you see may be on an auto bump per hour. SP's pay for that feature to keep their ads at the top.

Sure I've seen The Deuce. It's actually a bit like Vancouver when SP's worked bars, strip joints and were lined up in front of the Georgia, Devonshire Hotels and along Hornby St. Guys would come out of the clubs alone at 1 am and the SW would be there to proposition them. I actually met and hired a couple of them for a buddy's stag.

i wish i was around during those days, even in the mid 00's , all of the many street characters I loved seeing as I walked around granvile street ,It really was a great time in vancouver. Now the downtown area is just another damn suburban mall, a tourist attraction , its lost its allure.
